New symptoms in my eyes

Nov 19, 2015 10:43 PM

Hi ! Family I know that I haven't been on here very much lately. I think about all of y'all though. I miss talking to all of y'all. I have been so busy with Miss Bella helping take care of her she has been really sick her Papaw and I had to take her to the Dr today, he said that she has Bronchitis I am really worried about her. Last night she was having a hard time catching her breath with the wheezing that she was doing. I gave her a breathing treatment and she got ok her breathing leveled out. The Dr said breathing treatments every 3 hrs and he gave her some Steroids to take. I had to go to the eye Dr for my annual exam, I woke up with pressure in my rt eye and it felt like I had a eye lash under my eye lid and couldn't get it out. He dilated my eye and checked it and said I have dry eye's. I had no idea that they were dry for the past year it seems like my eyes were always tearing I thought it was allergies. Now I wonder if there is something else going on with me. I know that several of y'all have Sojerins I'm sorry about misspelling it. Well other than that I'm having horrible back pain in my lower back down into my pelvic girdle, all that seems b to help is my rice pack heated up in the microwave. Sorry for such a long rant.

No sorry necessary here, Weezie. Take good care of that little angel, Bella. I am sorry she is ill. I know what you're going through with the dry eye. I have it too and I he a feeling like there is sand or an eyelash in my eye and it's usually a long string of mucus anywhere from 3 to 6 inches long. Starts in the corner and then goes across the bottom (or top) and then goes back across the other way. It's a bother because sometimes I blink and can only see blurry shadows. Then I have to get it out. I hope the doctors gave you something that will help you. My thoughts are with you. {{{Hugs}}} and prayers your way!!💕🙏🏻🌻😊

Alwayz thank you so much. So far I am not having the mucus the tears when I rub my eyes feel kind of creamy except it is just clear tears. Does that make sense? Yesterday was the first time I felt like something was sticking me under my rt eye lid,and the pressure in my eyelid. When I woke up yesterday morning. Does Sojerns act that way? I have delt with my eyes pouring tears all the time and thought it was allergies. I don't know if I have it but I know it causes dry eye and mouth which I have also. It really scared me because I have what they call in layman terms a lazy eye in the left eye, and my rt eye is my good eye which I see everything out of.

I accidentally hit the button on my phone. All the eye Dr told me to use is Refresh Optuve Lubricant eye drops long lasting hydration. I'm supposed to use them 2-3 times a day. I hope they help. I intend to do some research on Sojerns today. Sending love and hugs your way.

Weezie, that is a good option. I use that as well. Yes, Sjrogens does act that way but I haven't been diagnosed. Hang in there, you'll be aright. Do what he says and see how things go. I'll be here if you need me. {{{Hugs}}} and prayers my friend. 💕🙏🏻🌻😊

Hey Weezie! I'm sorry to hear Bella is not improving. You have your hands full, so don't apologize. I do have Sjogrens, diagnosed by a mouth biopsy. My mouth, eyes, nose, throat all gets extremely dry, as do my lips and shook. My finger tips have split for years in the winter. This year my lips do. I get a film in my mouth that peels off especially if my mouth gets too try; it's gross!. My eyes get a similar film from the Systane ye drops. I had to use a steroid drop at first. But my eyes constantly feel over dry and gritty, like I have lashes in them. My eyelashes have actually lessened and the eye doctor said she sees blank areas where they've fallen out. It hurts to be outside now without sunglasses or a visor. I steely if ever get teary eyed unless I'm crying or have allergies going on. I woke up 3 weeks ago with severe pressure & pain behind my right eye, the start of my fall allergies. (((Hugs)) & prayers you and Bella will feel better soon! 🙏🌼

shook = skin
ye = eye

Hey Flappsy!!! I am so happy to see you back!! Hope your venture with your granddaughter was spectacular! I'm sure she loves being with you and her papaw. At least I hope you missed the drama of the hurtful person who wandered into the community and made several folks upset. I hope your pain levels are low and that you are happy that you had this time away. You were definitely missed, my dear friend. {{{Hugs}}}, love and prayers. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Thanks so much Flappsy and Alwayz I really appreciate all of the information and support from y'all. Flappsy I hope y'all all had a great visit with your granddaughter. They are special little angels aren't they. There is nothing like being grandparents. Flappsy I not only have dry eyes but my mouth is also dry, my skin is too. But I have Diabetes too which can cause the dry moth and skin. I intend to ask my Neurologist about the Sjrogens to see if he will test me for that.
