When new symptoms appear it scares me - any advice, does this become the norm of just bracing for the next thing to pass...

when new symptoms appear go get them checked out by your doctor to make sure it isn't something else.

At this current time, this may change. I don't really get to nervous about the changes, but in the back of my mind I think about what is the next symptom going to be and how debilitating may be. That overwhelms me. I am in so much pain right now it kinda trumps all other issues. I am worried about my surgery on Tuesday with what may or may not be find. Hoping my pain will decrease.
There is one thing that really worries me is the changes that have been going on with my eyes. My sight is getting worse. I worry about loosing my sight. I would rather loose hearing. I am a visual learning person, I would miss out seeing my daughter and the art she does. I could feel her clay pieces but wouldn't work for her pictures or graphic designs. That's what I would miss otherwise I would be ok.

Shero, I agree with Gotobef about seeing your doctor, especially if you're newly diagnosed. So many diseases share common symptoms. And as others taught me on here, once you have one Autoimmune (AI) disease you can get many others as time goes by. Hugs& prayers as you learn to identify your needs & treatment among the inevitably changing symptoms.
