I suffer constant pain. I finally have Medicare so I'm going to a new doctor this month. Hopefully he will take me seriously and not peg me as a drug seeker. Any advice?

I should add my last primary care doctor was wonderful. He had no problem prescribing me Loratabs which are the only thing that gets rid of the pain so I can function. My psychiatrist prescribes my Adderall, so I have some energy, but what good is energy when you're suffering such horrible pain?

Jordy, welcome aboard!! I'm hoping for you that the new doc you're going to see is able to organize a plan for doctors, tests, I know it takes time for these things to get moving and get results so you can get answers that you are looking for. Sending you all the very best for good results and a plan that helps you feel better. {{{Hugs}}} 💕🙏🏻🌻😊

Hi Jordy, welcome. I am pretty new here, too. So glad you are finding good medical help. Pain is the pits.

Hi Jordy and welcome. I would be open and tell your doctor about every little pain you have. They need to know and since you now have insurance I would make sure to get everything u can checked out. I finally got insurance last year and I went years without any. They found things I had no idea I had including pre cancer cells on my cervix. I won my SSI case due to my doctors being so thorough with their note taking and while I lost the ability to walk without assistance because my feet gave out last May- I am now in my 2nd month of recovery from my 7th operation on my left foot. I am pretty much always online if u need to vent.

Welcome Jordy! Track each pain symptom that occurs until you see your doctor, and take it with you (list). Hopefully they will be able to diagnose & treat you easily! 🙂💕🙏🌼
