Hello my name is Melissa and I have fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, migraines and I'm tired ALL the time. I work part time as an STNA witch is very hard and exhausting. I hard time with my family sometimes. I don't like my rhumatologist...i feel like she don't think I'm hurting like I am.

Hi Melissa. Welcome to the group. I started a month ago. And everyone is very helpful. Understanding and not judgemental. I am sorry to hear about work. My husband is in the same boat . In a lot of pain and everyone thinks he is faking

Wish you the best. (( gentle hugs ))

Welcome to our community family Mel34! Many doctors don't believe in fibromyalgia. Thankfully my rheumydoc doc isn't one of them. But she has my PCP treating it because she focuses on the autoimmune diseases I have, Sjogrens and hypothyroidism. It doesn't mean it's not real. Can you find a new doc or a pain specialist? Hugs love & prayers! 😊💕🙏🌸

Welcome to the family. We are all different and a great group. The one thing we all have in common is PAIN! You might try to be seen by a rheumatologist they seem to be the few that believe and try to help the most. Most of the time a pain management doctor will not see you without a diagnosis. It sucks when doctors the very people that take an oath to help up do not believe us and are too busy to take the time to help us solve our complicated puzzles. Good luck, glad you found us.

My pcp is getting me a pain management. The last appt I was at with her she said "if your as sick as you claim to be you need to go to the hospital!" Only problem the hospital don't do anything

welcome to the mad house 😊. The majority of us suffer from some form of chronic pain. The great thing about most folk on here is that we can not only empathise and sympathise we can advise and support you through good times and the bad.
Try to keep smiling and never be afraid to as a "daft" question.

Welcome Mel34, I have been here along time now and the people here are great people and always try to help when possible! I hope that you find the strength and courage you need to get through your day's. As far as your Rheumatologist I would get a different one, who will work with you and actually believe's you. Good Luck and again welcome to the group!😃

Greetings and Salutations Mel34! I had a pcp refuse to give me an injection when I had a flare up and said the same thing to me...if you're in that much pain go to ER...the ER doc did treat me, but then bannes me from ER (I'm there too much) and then
I went back to follow up with pcp; I toldbhim injections I was given, pcp said ER doc had no right treating me...then nurse came in to do a drug screen...when test came back I tested positive for drugs PCP didn't prescribe (duh)! and am now banned from all medical clinics in 3 towns (same affiliates I guess). That was only the beginning of a very unfavorable journey!
All my best

Hello and welcome! I have osteoarthritis, migraines, scoliosis, and general muscle pain. I feel like it takes A LOT of time to finally find a doctor who understands you. The road to get to that dr can be long and depressing.
I hope that you find all the support you need on here. I've only been on for about two weeks. I got my mom set up on here last week. She has chronic pain from many back and knee surgeries, along with fibromyalgia. We both love this app!
