Hi my name is Cindy. I have been in pain since I was 35 and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia finally in 2013. I was on Cymbalta for a year but I prefer to do more natural pain relief such as OILS , TENS UNIT, EPSON SALT baths, and EXERSICE. I try really hard to push through the pain before relying on a pain pill . I do take Tramadol if I just can't do it. So glad to be here and learn how others cope.
Fibrodragon, first I'd like to welcome you to our community family. It's a great place to get advice, vent, laugh, cry and get tips on how we all cope. This site has been an absolute Godsend to me. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and welcomed by such wonderful people. Several of which I have built strong bonds with. I try to use natural methods to cope with my pain but it's been chronic and level 8 for almost 22 years. I'm 50 now and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, DDD, DJD, TMJ, Long thoracic nerve palsy, cervical spondalytic myelopathy, thoracic degeneration, scoliosis, sciatica, Grave's Disease (for which they removed my thyroid so now I'm hypo thyroid), CRPS/RSD, Lordosis, anxiety and depression. I have been on opioid meds for some time now. I also meditate, listen to music or come here and see who's around and who needs some cheering up. I hope you find the support and answers you are looking for. This is totally a no judgement zone and we all help each other as best we can. We may not all suffer from the same ailments but we all have one thing in common and that's pain. I send you best wishes and prayers that you can continue to keep your pain manageable without having to take a lot of medication. 🌻🙏🏻
