CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Feb 05, 2016 2:37 AM

Hello everyone. I've just downloaded the app and have a few queries. How often do people Update their pain entries?
Also it looks as if most people are in the states. Does anyone from the UK use this app or is there a better one for the UK? Thanks

Welcome Mosapheen,
I am glad that you have found our family community. There are many, many people here that have chronic, daily pain with no respite. Most people update their pain charts every day simply because it gives you better insight on what your triggers are, if the weather has any drastic effect on your pain levels, stress, etc. even though you have seen many folks from the US, I can assure you that this is a very diverse family and we have members from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland, etc... Know that you have found a safe forum that you can feel free to vent, get things off your chest, laugh, cry, etc.. We are a close knit and judgement free bunch and we are here for one another no matter the time of day or night. You will always find someone to chat with. Someone who will come to your aid and it doesn't matter when. I hope that being with us you find the caring, empathy and understanding that you require when you spend your life in chronic pain. Sending love, gentle {{{Hugs|}} and prayers that you have a better tomorrow 💕🙏🏻

Thank you for such a lovely welcome I'm hoping by tracking my pain I can gain a better understanding of my triggers and get better pain management. I was unsure if I needed to input my pain levels at different times of the day or just once a day or am/pm? I hope the better I can understand my condition (fibro and CFS) the better I can manage it xx

I am 55 my accident happened at 52 in my prime
I was feeling stronger than I had ever felt and now I feel weaker than I have ever felt

Taking meds causes constipation which led to bloody stools which is depressing for me

I hate complaining I hate moaning for discomfort and experiencing deferring ability each day walking sitting standing etc just keep changing

I'm in the uk. And when I'm complaining or lonely at 2am, I always have the US or the Auzzies backing me up because they are still awake, because it's 2pm over there. Lol

I'm in the UK, and our US Buddies,(and rest of the world) are great when we're wide awake and vice versa. This really is a great forum and the app is great, I use it to document every Spasm, every time I Have an AD spike(Autonomic Disreflexia), tracking when I am monitoring change in my meds..... It's great and my GP thinks it's great and helps here get a proper mental picture of what's going on! Welcome to CMP!!

Welcome Mosapheen! And welcome to you too Buzby! We have a great community for support, advice, laughter, tears, prayers, or whatever is needed, including the insomniac chats. And we range from our teens to 70's, and every age in between. We all have good and bad days. We all complain from time to time. It's awful that we are all here because we suffer chronic pain, but I'm glad we have each other for support. Hugs, love, & prayers to all! 🙂🙏💕🌼
