I'm such a newbie to forums and only recently (sept 16) diagnosed with fybro. I'm a teacher of dance in an FE college and this year I'm having to decrease my teaching hours more and more due to the pain although I have been given more management hours to replace the lost teaching hours. The problem is, I adore teaching dance and this is the thing that has kept me sane and now I'm learning more about how the college works from the management side and I hate it. My students are humans with lives and struggles but they are seen as nothing but stats and money! The stress over the last month, as we are going through huge changes at work, has caused my fybro to flare like never before. I've suffered 3 panic attacks alone in this last week. I now what I need to do for my health but financially it is very difficult. Has anyone been in similar situations? What was the outcome? I find talking about it to friends and family very difficult as the pain is unexplainable. Quite often I get the 'brush off' kinda feeling because they don't understand. It is good to have found somewhere, where others totally understand what you are going through. Xxxx

Thank you. I do follow my heart as I have such a caring nature towards my students. I am now putting my focus more on myself and maybe becoming my own boss which is pretty terryfying but I believe I can. Xx

That's great . Being your own boss . I think you will be good at . I think being scared is what will make you a great boss because you won't go into it in a demanding way . You sound like you will keep your heart in it and personal feelings to yourself .

I say Go for it !!!!☺☺☺☺
