newbie looking for strength on weaker days and giving support on better ones.

Hi all new to this app but trying to learn from my charts what helps, hinders my pain and advice from others in same boat. I have so far in my 43 years of life managed to gain the following: osteoarthritis in my necvk, back, shoulders, facet joint degeneration, bulging t10 disc and l4 disc, degenerate disc disease of l3 ,l4,l5 , Sacroilitis, scuerrmans kyphosis of thoracic spine, m.e, fibromyalgia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, hypertension, Hughes syndrome, G.E.R.D, rotator cuff damage, constant headaches, TMJ, think that's the lot anyway. 😀 married to a caring guy sadly no children after 2 early misses, one big border Collie furbaby. First got Ill in 1998 and a downward slope from there really. Up til 3 years ago disabled but could walk aided round shops and with dog on walks but now needing wheelchair for outside and a rollaror inside. Life has become very different and immensely infuriating. My head still doesn't realise that my body can't do what it asks. In reality my pure. stubbornness has got me thus far. Gp is clueless and thinks I'm a drug uservim certain as when I need more help pain wise he frowns and says wecreally should be trying to reduce the meds hence more suffering like many of you. Understanding what 24/7 pain is like should be given to all medical professionals. A day in my shoes so to speak see if the way we are treated changes or stays the same. Rant over lol hope the new year brings good things to you all. Love and gentle hugs 😷 😴

Welcome Cnan! I've found this community to be filled with caring people who understand chronic pain, lots of wisdom, and good humor too. I have many of the same dx and some you don't, but joining this community has kept me sane. I'm 54 and the last 10 years is when most of my major issues reared their ugly heads. I've learned to listen to my body and NOT ignore what it's telling me. Lol. Pacing whatever I'm doing is a major key. I can still walk if I'm in small places, but I have to use a cane to be stable. I have Vestibular Neuronitis, which causes balance & dizziness issues; almost felll last weekend, but luckily had my cane. In big stores like Kroger or Walmart I ride a cart. Looking forward to hearing your wisdom & wittiness. Happy New Year! 🎉🎆. 😷🙏🌼

Hi there :)
Was just wondering if you have looked into Lyme disease at all? It can cause many of the ailments that you have described and more! I don't know if that helps you in anyway, but I hopeful it might :)
Good luck and be strong xx

Morning ladies well today is brought to yoiu from my duvet haven, did the usual daftness of staying up n y eve as had my teenage niece staying over so was chopsing to her til 3 am (usually my get up time) plus tried to help hubbie cook the nibbles to see in the new year with. Don't know why I push myself I know I'm gonna suffer for it. Guess I'm just like me mum , stubborn as my hubbie says, determined is my version 😀 thank you for such a warm welcome 💖 Hope you all had a good start to 2016 🎆 . well it looks like the decs are gonna survive another day of dust collecting whilst I'm in my pit. Love and gentle hugs to you all. Xxxx p.s no Erynn87 I haven't looked into Lyme's but will certainly have a mooch around for more about it. xx

Hi Terri , hope you had a good new year hun, hope it brings new and wonderful things your way and less pain. Currently popping top up pain relievers (I don't say killers as they never kill the pain) as I am sure you are aware and popping muscle relaxants like they are going out of fashion. Ever hopeful it will ease some of the pain.
Did me usual upturned tortoise impression this morning attempting to get out of bed (must invest in a grab rail for the bed) 😁 does anyone else have this issue in the mornings? If so have you managed to overcome it as of yet without having to purchase a grab bar? Anyway have a good day to everyone. Xx

I have learned for me pain pills are for the absolute worst days( so I stay away from them until necessary) I used Zanaflex 8 mg three to four times day if I need. Other than Otc stuff like aspirin, or aleve, I don't use anything. Each and every person is different and tolerates different things...I do use ice packs , stretching, stuff like that for now... My chronic pain is spinal...and Arthritis. It can disable me for days if the inflammation sparks up, then my primary will prescribe a small amount of narcotics, (/my choice) as I had a huge phyiscal/mental addiction to narcs in the early 2000's after two surgeries... Now I am very very careful cuz I don want to go through that again..I realize just saying the word addiction makes people very Leary of you.. But I am here and it happens to a lot of people taking narcotics for chronic pain.. I am super blessed to have my primary doctor! She rocks! I am in safe hands and I trust her completely with my pain issues and fears. Love to all, Terri

If you can take 8mg Zanaflex 3x a day, you're a better woman than I. I take 4mg up to 4 times a day and they knock me stupid. I can take 200mg of morphine and you'd never know I took anything. Take a Zanaflex and I'm done..LOL!! 😊

Currently on 120mg morphine 600mg lyrica (daily meds)and then have top up med for worst pain days of robaxin and naproxin. The very rare occasional top up with oramorph but doc looks at me as a druggie if I need that one so limit it to days I scream obscenities when I adjust position. 🌼

Cnan, Iam so sorry that all those pain meds dont cut it on your worse days.
Lol, y'all about that Zanaflex dose...love and blessings, Terri

Cnan, I'm allergic to most pain meds so right now Tramadol is reserved for bad days. I use Tylenol Arthritis & Aleve, rotating; muscle relaxers as needed, stretches, hear, exercise (lite), etc. 😷🙏🌼

Blooming Sacroilitis plus fibro flare has had me under control since before Christmas, totally fed up of not being able to do things, I'd love to go dog walking or shopping with my hubbie but I'm stuck in bed trying to bring the saco inflammation down, I get out of bed and wander round my own bungalow and end up feeling like someone has doused me in petrol lit a match and is noiw washing me in surgical spirit. Pelvic area and lower back and hip are getting to much I do actually wonder if this pain will ever settle to my more consistent pain level. Fed up existing and not living. Could currently fry an egg on my back from the heat emmiting from it despite having put half of Antarctica and a few penguins on it. No point asking doc for help as clearly they think I'm on enough meds to help. Oooh moany day apologies all. 🐻 grouchy bear rules today,
