Well hi all. I'm brand new here and hoping to find some answers and perhaps advice.
I have pain all over and days so debilitating I cannot get out of bed. I have been fighting pain since 2012 but only since October has it really taken over. It's miserable. When I work all week, I sleep or rest all weekend most of the time because I'm so wiped out from work.
I have had so many blood tests and X-rays and the only odd thing is my CRP is consistently elevated. I have had lumbar epidurals this year and after the last one, my lumbar back came back within a couple weeks. My MRIs show DDD in the spine and neck, bulging discs, stenosis and spurs in my neck. I'm tired of being pumped with steroids that only make me fatter and fatter. My body is killing me and no one can find out what's wrong with me. Been to orthopedic surgeons, pain management, general practitioner, neurologist, rheumatologist and I am really feeling like a lab rat.
The really weird thing is when I have a good day, which is the exception, I can actually jog three miles but then I'm exhausted for days.
I take Tramadol in the morning, gabapentin 300 mg three times a day (which has made the migraines subside although I still get bad headaches regularly), and tizanidine at night so I can get some sleep. I don't sleep well and usually feel like I've been hit by a truck when I wake up in the morning. My lumbar and neck hurt the worst but have sciatica and pain all over too.
Any ideas? I'm so frustrated. When will the doctors stop "practicing medicine" on me and find out what's wrong so we can properly treat it!?!?
