Not been a good day at all

Jun 23, 2015 3:52 PM

I'm sitting here trying not to cry out loud right now. Got a double whammy of a diagnosis this morning/afternoon. Suspicions of ovarian cyst confirmed at urgent care and breast lump definetly there and not just my imagination. Sigh, what else can go wrong now?

I'm sorry Amanda. What do you think they'll do for the cyst? Praying for you that it won't be anything but fibroid tissue. Hang on to me and we'll stay strong together. My doc said he did feel changes in my breast too so he's requesting a mammogram earlier. ((Hugs)) 🙏🌼

Usually ovarian cysts get reabsorbed during a normal monthly cycle. Most of the time women never know that they have a cyst. I know there is some type of injection that your ob/gyn can give you to get rid of the cyst.Basically it just made your body absorb it. Had the shot once it hurt like hell because it was very thick. Hopefully your breast lump will just be a benign cyst. That would be nice. As you already heard usually a lump that hurts is benign, that has always been my experience too thankfully. Wishing you all the best. You know we all are pulling for you.

Amanda I hate to hear that. Hopefully they will both be benign. Will keep you in my prayers. Sending you hugs.

FlappysLady, this is the second time this year for that cyst so I don't know. As for the lump, I don't know on that one either at this point. I'm hoping they can get a clearer idea of what it is next Monday. LMB, I'm hoping that as well, but I won't even know that until the 1st as to what they are going to do. It might just be watchful waiting again. Weezie, thank you. The prayers and hugs are appreciated beyond words.

Ladies question. Would it be too much to ask even if it is bening for them to go ahead and get this darn lump out cause it hurts like hell. Thoughts/suggestions?

If it is a cyst they can drain it. If it fibro cystic very often women that are small chested have very thick dense breast tissue, if you have an ultrasound it will say this. Anyway if it is fibro cystic than you can control it by adding Vit B, Vit E and limit caffeine. Do a quick Google search for fibro cystic breast tips

Amanda, I am so sorry that you have been burdened with this diagnosis. I can't imagine what you are feeling at the moment. I can tell you that I had found a lump in my right breast a few years ago while I was away at a friend's house and in the shower. I was trying to get a handle on the size of it and if it was hard and then all of a sudden, when I squeezed it, it made a weird crunching feeling and then it was almost flat. My breast ended up with a wicked bruise in that area and there was considerable pain. As soon as I went back home, I went to the doctor and he sent me for a Mammogram and it came back that it must have been a fibroid and it was close to the surface and thin skinned. Therefore, the pressure I put on it, ruptured it and it's contents dispersed. Now, I certainly do NOT recommend squeezing it or messing with it in any way, I am just telling you what happened to me. My Sister in Law had a lump and it was deeper and they put a needle in it and drained the fluid out of it and tested it and it was fibroids. It turned out that it came back and she had to have it removed and it never came back. Lean on us and we will all help you get through this. Everything is going to work out. Hang in there, you are in my prayers... {{{{{{{{{{{Amanda}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
