Is it nerve pain? You could try DMSO, although I don't know where you live. In Oregon, you can find it in a farm store. It's an industrial solvent, but can help with arthritis or in my case, nerve pain. It has reduced the numbness so that I can wear socks.
I'm assuming it's nerve pain. Iv only just been diagnosed with Fibro so havnt had everything covered yet. I live in the UK and have never heard of that but I will google it and see if we have something similar, thank you.
It's gonna be hard.. Did u say ur baby is almost a yr old? ..if so u many need to get a high stroller or even a baby pouch. And secure it while seated on a couch or bed. I worked as a nanny and kept family kids and had numbness. If the child is Mobile ull have to let the child come to u. Because dropping is a real danger. I've never actually dropped a child but I've had a few close calls. Definitely be mindful vand careful. After a while ull learn ways to hold and lift even without having the feeling in your limbs
Yes she turns one in Jan. I was prescribed Baclofen by the Rhuematologist when she diagnosed me and she knows about little one so I don't think she would have prescribed it if it was dangerous but I think I'll be mentioning it to the doctor when collecting them. I'm just gonna have to be careful. Little one is very independent so doesn't like being attached to me in any way. She has only just started crawling too so that doesn't help :/
FinallyDiagnosed, I take gabapentin for my neuropathies in my hands and feet. But I've never totally had numbness from it. I lost feeling in my arm when my shoulder dislocated & impinged during my sleep one night. It took 6 weeks of PT to get over it. 🙂🙏🌼
Ferretbandit my numb would come suddenly.. Which is bad since I could.we walking or driving or holding something like a child and all of a sudden boom.. Nothing... Ha..thanks k GOD I've never hurt anyone when it happened but scsrey all the same.
New, I also am beginning to get numbness in my right foot, but it's only the right foot. I think it has to do with the sacroilitis, but not exactly sure. If it gets any worse, will contact pain management.
