Official diagnosis

Jun 08, 2017 9:16 PM

Today I received the official diagnosis for fibromyalgia. Although I already suspected that I have it, it's good to that it is official as well as documented so that I can start getting the treatment that I need. Maybe I can eventually return to a somewhat normal life.

Hey sweetie. I'm happy you got it confirmed. It does suck that you was right . But Look at it this way . You know your body and smart to listen to it. Doctor don't know much of anything. You go in tell them what you think is wrong and It seems either they agree because they don't want to admit they have no idea or they disagree because you are not supposed to be smarter lol

Hang in there. ((Gentle hugs)) My friend . Sending prayers your way..

I am glad you now know your diagnosis so you can be properly treated. I'm still in diagnosis limbo and it's frustrating. Take care of yourself.

I saw my PCP afterwards and becuase it wasn't an official diagnosis from a specialist I wasn't able to get it added to FMLA and get a couple more days off when needed. It was from a nurse practitioner. I have read that I have to go through multiple tests and specialists before I can get the other treatments. But at least this is a start.
