Oh, My Achin' Feet!!

Jun 02, 2016 3:36 PM

I'm having a new and particularly annoying symptom in my feet. When my fatigue is high, or if I've overdone it that day, my feet become excruciatingly painful. It feels like I'm walking on broken glass. I can barely walk. Nothing I've tried has been very helpful. Also, I'm allergic to capsaicin - but any other suggestions would be extremely welcome.

Hot bath loaded with Epsom salt helps me everytime . The magnesium helps relax your muscles but more importantly in this case it helps your nerves fire appropriately.

The folks at the pain clinic suggested a frozen water bottle. My new best friend, let me tell you. My feet burn with very little provocation.

Fatigued, when I was working as floral designer in a very busy shop after the excruciating week of Valentine's Day, I would feel just as you described. I had been working with chronic worsening pain several years. I would come home, take pain killers, have a bath, soak my wounded feet, then after bathing rub mint cream into my feet and I had a wonderful mint spray that was extremely useful. That has been discontinued, but you might be able to find something similar. Maybe from a body shop or doTerra. Hope you find help. 💕

I use 4-5 different creams and patches. DMSO, emu oil, histamine, voltaren gel, arnica gel, lidocaine patch, Chinese medicine patch. Bio freeze may help if you have hot pain. Agree with the bath salts too!

A physical therapist suggested I use lavender oil for the knots I get all over. Maybe it would help you too. I haven't been able to find out so far, but I've also been homebound from surgery recuperation. But the Epson salt soaks truly do help. When I was working, on my feet all day, my feet would hurt much the same way, with lots of tingling & stinging, and I have a lot of swelling too. My cardiologist put me in compression stockings, which I've been using six years now. If I'm lazy and don't put them on, then go shopping I regret not having them on. Hugs & prayers you get this pain under control soon! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I go for floats at Float Nashville on Epsom salt. It really helps the release the pain. Unfortunately it only lasts a day or so. They have a Fibromyalgia study and if accepted the first 4 floats are freee and are charged a reduced fee for remainder of the study.
