one doctor down

Feb 24, 2015 7:06 PM

Went to one of the rheumatologist I have been swing yesterday. He starts off with all the test I have had done come back ok, so he doesn't really know where to go from here. He then ask me if the other doctors have said it is fibro and I said yes. He put in my paperwork "probably you have fibromyalgia". So he told me if I didn't want to come back there I didn't have to. So we left it at if I feel I need to go back I'll call for an appointment. He had nothing else to offer, so doubt I ever go back. On a side note anyone have any idea what doctor I would see to try and figure out if I have chronic fatigue syndrome. Cause what the doctors are doing for treating fibro isn't even helping a little with my fatigue issues?

Unfortunately I have found most doctors to be useless with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I'm getting more help from my naturopath than I have ever gotten from a doctor.
Unfortunately healthcare doesn't cover a naturopath (at least here in Alberta Canada) and some insurances don't either, and if they do it is limited.
Personally I'm in a position where I am willing and able to pay for someone to actually listen to me and try to treat my symptoms rather than trying to hide them with drugs.

JayS77, Could you try an endocrinologist? So many things can affect the body from various endocrine system organs; thyroid, parathyroid, kidneys, lymph nodes, etc. Maybe they could help.
