One of those days...

Just heard from my insurance company. I was so sure they would total my car. Its a 1999 Olds Aurora with 206,000 miles on it. I had all ready mourned its loss and started looking for a new car. Imagine my surprise when instead they agreed to pay 3,800. for repairs. I didn't think my car was worth that much. Boggles my mind.

Sorry to hear that. Depends on your Blue Book Value, maybe it was cheaper for them to fix it then to pay you its current value. Hey it does boggle your mind, because you have a lot of mileage on it

The blue book value wild be between 939 - 3100.

I just wrote them to see if they would just pay me and keep the car. There is no way I could sell it for that much. Plus the airbags didn't work - that needs to be fixed. And I believe that there are things affected by the wreck that may show up later - then it will be me who has to fix it.
