Am sure you have also had them. I went to bed at 9 because I was really hurting. Was asleep probably around 10:30. Awake at 11:30. Got back to sleep and slept until around 1:30. Got back to sleep - and slept until around 3:00. Dozed off again and here I am - awake again at 4. Uff-da!
Guess I will be talking to doctors again. Gonna be "Just Another Manic Monday".
I take muscle relaxers that usually help. Was recently in a car accident - since then my pain has been escalating. If I could find the young man who hit me I would not be responsible for any damage I might do. It I had the energy to do anything. Lol.
From personal experience, I wasn't able to sleep well any night until they dx the sjogrens and started treatment with the plaquenil. That and the gabapentin being added, and taken off cymbalta (worsened my pain), identifying and treating for D, B12 & B9, and magnesium deficiencies, it all helped me gain better pain control. Without it I wouldn't have the 3-4 of 7 nights decent sleep. Often I need melatonin, anxiety med&/or muscle relaxers for the RLS and hypnogogic jerks.
I really had everything under control. Pain was down below 5, sleep was averaging 6 hours. Then the car wreck and it set me back to where I was 2 years ago. I was saying last night that if I looked like my car - then people would understand. Was supposed to get the results from the CT scan but their computers are down .. So back to waiting.
I have iheart radio on my phone .. Those nights I usually set my channel to Celtic Woman or Enya. If nothing else that type of music can help relax me. I have several books downloaded as well. After 4:30 I have up got lost in a book. Today I have to make 2 pies. Got easy recipes for those and the Graham crusts to use. One is a Butterfinger cheesecake, the other is a cheesecake I usually put cherries on. Tonight it will be half and half cherries and blueberries because I am too lazy to go to store for another can of either.
On Monday night's our church has a group that meets and calls, writes notes or colors stamped cards. (whichever we choose to do). A few people alternate bringing deserts. If it worked right I would only have to do it once a month. However mom no longer cooks so I am doing hers one week and mine the next. When I make up next year's schedule I am taking me off and finding someone else to take my spot so I will just be doing mom's.
Got to start cutting back as I think this recovery process is going to take longer than I had hoped.
Rather not! I'm generally not "with it" while awake! I'm Pissed about not sleeping, wondering if /what I take will help, what consequences it will have on the coming day.. If I choose to get up, stretch or do something constructive, I kick myself for not getting the rest regardless of sleep.. Music does help soothe the savage beast... Good choices!
