One thing leads to another

Six days ago they pulled the cracked tooth, which splintered into multiple pieces. Took 70-75 minutes to get it out and stitch my gums. Two days later I had a huge bruised area on the left side of my jaw. It's still bad looking but that's not the concerning issue.

Form a letter C with your left thumb & index finger. Place this shape just in front of your ear, below your left eye, down to the chin & left jaw. All along this shape I have tingling & semi numbness now. And to top it off there is a shocking pain if I touch the area just to the left of the chin. I think it's going to be permanent nerve damage. The tooth had to come out. And as usual, over the past 6-7 years anyway, there's been a negative aftermath. Gotta laugh at what life throws at me, or else let it drive me crazy. Not an option yet. But if the fibro fog gets too thick, who knows what may happen? Lol. Wishing everyone a blessed day! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I also had tooth pulled and my trigeminal nerve was damaged. I had same feeling in jaw and face that you do after tooth was pulled. After two brain surgeries I am now dealt cards to live with the severe pain and they call it trigeminal neuralgia. Since 1995. Hang in there it does get easier.

Barney007, thank you. I have had episodes of trigeminal neuralgia , following a fall struggling the back of my head on concrete years ago. Those episodes actually caused pain, but thankfully this is mostly numb, except just to the left of my chin. I'm sorry to hear you needed brain surgery. I pray you won't anymore.

I hope you aren't offended, but your name made me laugh. I'm picturing Barney, the big purple dinosaur crossed with James Bond-007! I love Bond occurs. We just t rented the latest yesterday. And when Barney first came in TV, m daughter and I watched it every day. That is until she started per school and other kids teased her for looking Barney. 😥. Hugs & prayers you have a blessed evening! 🙂💕🙏🌼

I had a crown put on after that non stop toothache. Spent a year going back and forth between dentist and hospital, they finally found out the tooth behind the crowned tooth had a crack and could not be repaired. Tooth was removed, still kept getting toothache finally crown was removed tooth had a fracture, tried to repair it did not work, so tooth was removed. Tooth in front of the now removed crowned tooth then needed a root canal. Since then I have had nothing but facial pain that was about 10 years ago. I did have all my wisdom teeth taken out when I was 18 due to them being impacted.

Barney007, that's funny & cute!

Wellstuffit69, that's what I'm afraid of, is continued pain due to the nerve damage. And the tooth in front of the one removed feels different when I bite down, uncomfortable. It feels out of place if that makes sense. I have Sjogrens, so there's a higher risk for me losing teeth anyway. I'd been complaining of receding gums for 3-5 years on random teeth, but now it's every tooth, and I know it's from the sjogrens. My wisdom teeth were impacted too.

Thanks for sharing y'all's stories with me! 🙂💕🙏🌼
