Considering I live in constant pain, like everyone else here, you would think I would be basically used to it. For the last couple of days I've had a really sore throat of all things, and I'm finding it is just one thing too many. It is seriously bringing me down and I just can't perk myself up. Have done everything I can to soothe it and it just won't settle. Its left me so miserable I've found myself crying for no reason a few times today. Kind of an overreaction to a sore throat, huh? Has anyone else found that a comparatively small pain has been the straw to break the camel's back? How did you cope?
Perfect timing Ash - the same thing happened to me this morning. The culprit: Menstrual cramps. Just what I don't need right now. I'm not sure if my pain perception is skewed today, but they seem to hurt more than usual. Hang in there Ash! This too shall pass!!!
hi Ashling16. I completely understand where you're coming from. I have suffered chronic pain for 18 years and, yes, you do sort of "get used to it" because it's part of your every day existence. I DO find that if I get a new pain or sick, it pushes me over the edge and I will cry for no reason and get very down. those days, I'm usually inconsolable and I TRY to sleep through it. I wish you much luck in finding help with your pain.. take care and remember that you are never alone. we're all in the same boat together.
