Opinions on marijuana and effect on chronic pain

Dec 31, 2015 5:15 PM

I live in the uk. I'm 16 and I have lived with constant headaches since I was 14. I smoke weed occasionally( once a month). Sometimes it makes me feel better. Sometimes it can make my headaches feel worse and any hypertension around my body is accentuated. Obviously marijuana is illegal in the uk, so u r never sure what the quality of the marijuana is. I think if it was better, it would help my headaches more instead of making me feel worse sometimes. Can some of u share ur opinions on this topic ? I wish u the best in the new year. Peace

Cuz, It's illegal where I I've so I can't help there. But did I understand you correctly, that sometimes it raises your blood pressure? If that's the case you might need to speak with your doctor to make sure it's safe. (((Hugs))), prayers & good luck! And Happy New Year! 😷🙏🌼

Where I live, it's also illegal but I have a friend who recently moved to Colorado and he says it's legal there. I know they're doing more testing for medical use there. I would suggest you do more research on what you're smoking because there are different strands and I think they have different side effects. Now as a parent, I've read that smoking marijuana at your age can actually be detrimental to your development. If your parents know you're smoking, maybe they can help you look into the research in Colorado.

I use it medically. I would rather use cannabis then go on pain meds. Just my personal choice. It does help me with pain and fatigue. One has to explore different strains to find the ones that work best for your ailments.

Marijuana is a life saver but since its illegal I have a choice between that and pain management as pain management Does drug tests monthly. Before I was receiving Tramadol and combine w the weed was Actually even working again, part time but still impressive as my job is in housekeep ing at a very fast paced resort. Now only on weed BC I know it helps more than just pain I'm not even able to wash my own hair with out recovery.

Jess is right though the strain matter's. some weed gives me massive anxiety or headache's it also has potential to mess with memory and cognitive growth if your young. So chose wisely.

I don't know what it's like in the UK, but in my town weed/marijauna/pot is really common, and growing it is just kinda...normal, I guess. It is legal now, and my dad has a bit somewhere, but I haven't tried it so far. I'm 15, and if you can definitely find out info about whatever type you're getting. Around here, there are some people who know all about how the different types work, which ones are more likely to give headaches, etc. One of my dad's friends grows it for medical reasons.

Warm not humid, cool not cold, not damp, rainy, snowy or foggy. Basically I need to live in a bubble with perfect weather..lol
I have just started to try CBD oil, which is legal in NJ because the THC isn't in it. I can let you know how that goes

I have pain conditions and headaches. It is legal in my state. I don't want to get high so I tried edibles these worked for my headache, pain, anxiety, sleep issues. Eating is totally different, slower to react and had a washing of relaxation over my entire body with no high feeling. I am a fan of the medicinal purpose not the smoking of it. Unfortunately I can't afford it.
