I lost my lower L leg below the knee in 2006 from traumatic accident & have suffered from chronic phantom limb pain ever since coming out of a coma a few months post amputation. I'm now 37 and taking gabapentin and a fentanyl patch daily with morphine for breakthrough pain. I feel so alone even living in a major U.S. city, and my pain clinic doctor acts as though she doesn't believe the pain I suffer. I do appreciate this app very much though!
You can talk to me and I have an exercise that you can do to relax they muscles of your partial leg. I can't remember the ins and outs of it but it's essentially a box worth mirrors and you put your legs in it (the partial only slightly) and try to tense the whole leg and foot on both legs while looking at the image of you having 2 full legs (it is a psychological trick that really works so I've heard. They showed it on house)
