Hi I'm new to this website. I have scoliosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis in my neck and spins and just had back surgery last June for a herniated disc. It seems like the docs are soooo resistant to giving pain meds. I understand why but when the pain is legit it can be really frustrating! Has any one else run into this?

Yes. New docs are always suspicious and even docs you've known for quite some time can be tight with their prescription pads.

Hi I am a scoliosis girl too! Have you gone to a pain management clinic yet? That might help you alot.

I have gone to a pain clinic. They put me on norotriptolyne and baclofen. Neither one helped. I don't know what to do. I do chiropractic, heat and ice, massage. It's really a battle.

Frustrated56, it's not easy that's for sure. With all the new government "guidelines" when it comes to pain meds makes these docs worry about their license. They are not willing sometimes to give certain meds unless they feel it's appropriate because they're being watched all the time. I know it's not the docs fault and they pain most of pain management patients with the same brush and don't think that more meds or stronger meds that can make it better. (Or at least so you can function). I wish you the best and do yourself a favor.. you weren't meant to suffer like that. Take your meds.. Please!!💕
