Overstayed presence!!!

Aug 06, 2015 11:32 AM

I still have a headache. Every day for the past week I've had some type of headache. Only this time I think it's more than one kind. 😵

I woke up with tight pressure in the top of my head and around the sinuses. Later I noticed the tingling sensation in my left temple around and behind the left eye, usually precedes a migraine. Later still, after getting a shower and drying my hair, I noticed my upper back, neck & shoulder muscles were severely tense. The pain at the back of my neck & skull is coming over the top of my scalp. On top of it all I've noticed I'm squinting because the lights are hurting my eyes, and I'm now having throbbing in my head, the whole top half! Even my TMJ pain is back... Ugh! 😭

Each symptom described has at some point been present, usually alone or with only 1-2 other symptoms. Today they are all merged together. I'm getting ready for an appt, so taking my Midrin (migraines) is out of the question because I can't drive using it. And on top of it all we have storms due in the next hour. Driving in storms always makes me tense. I can't call my hubby to come get me because he's in a meeting. I'm going to take some Tylenol but I'll be surprised if it even makes a dent. 🙏🌼

Flappsy, I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time with these headaches. What a nightmare. I wish I lived near you, I would gladly skip meds and drive you to your appointment so that you could take your meds. Please be careful out there and when you get back, take your meds and try using your TENS Unit or, if you have any, a muscle relaxant. I hope the rest of this day goes better for you and that you get some relief. Please, Flappsy, have a peaceful remainder to your day and may you less pain. You're in my thoughts and prayers, as always, my friend. 💕🙏🏻🌺

Thanks AlwayZ, I know you would! Thankfully I made it safely back home before the bad storms hit. I thought for sure we'd lose a tree or two, of at least the flag pole. We needed the rain badly but it's been a long time since winds were that bad.

As for my headache it's still there but the squeezing pressure is gone at least, and my eyes aren't hurting. But that could be the great skies hiding the sun. I wonder if the weather was causing it? I've taken the Midrin and have an ice pack on my shoulders. I'll take a muscle relaxer near bedtime. I just hope I don't wake with one tomorrow.

It's unusual for me to have any headache more than 2-3 days. To have so many overlapping symptoms that go with several types of headaches... For me, never before. I've had a tension headache go into a migraine twice but that's it. Thanks for reminding me to use my TENS, and for caring. I hope you're having a good day yourself! 🙏🌼
