Oxytocin & Fibro

Jun 10, 2016 9:49 AM

I've been reading about people having success treating fibro symptoms with the hormone Oxytocin. Has anyone tried this? If so, what was your experience? Any negative side effects?

I'd like to know more about this. Do you have a website?

My husband heard a talk given by a member of the New York Genome Project regarding the topic. I just googled 'Oxytocin and Fibromyalgia'. It brings up several case studies. There is a small subset of fibro patients that have great success with the treatment.

I have not heard anything good about taking those kinds of drugs with my issues so I have to stay away from them. I also have chronic migraines along with the fibromyalgia, and the oxytocin can cause rebound migraines.

The pain clinic recommended fentanyl for fibro. Oxy didn't do anything for me.

I would like to try Oxytocin for pain relief. I believe it is only available as an injection but would very interested if there is a pill form. Thanks!

I have no idea how it works, just that I've read that it does.

Just been looking on the net, reading about how they use it off Label for people with Fibro. I don't have it myself but I have many friends so was interested as to why it would be helpful.
Should realise that most things are used for alternative uses in the medical world. You can buy supplements that boost your natural oxytocin hormone and they sell a nasal spray(I wouldn't buy anything they sell online though, if it isn't prescribed ,black market meds ....could have anything added to it)
