Pain following cancer

Feb 20, 2018 4:14 PM

I’m 18 months post chemo/radiotherapy.
Initially I had global joint pain 8-10 on the pain scale which left me housebound for a year, the last 6 months, although pain is reduced, I still have permanent right sided joint pain and pain in my left foot which is permanently around 3 but increases to 5-7 after 20 minutes of walking or any gentle exercise.
I am out of options on the medication front ( only take Naproxen to take the edge off pain) Morphine/Tramadol/Gabapentin etc just mong me out but do nothing for the pain. Have tried various alternative therapies to no avail. Compression socks help a little
I swim once a week - haven’t noticed any change to my remaining pain. Still have fatigue which doesn’t help much either.
Cold weather makes symptoms worse, hot weather makes no difference to pain.
Anyone have any suggestions 🙃

Have you tried a TENS machine or Biofreeze?
