FrankNY I am on the same meds that you are plus others but have been on them since 2002 and now my meds don't even work. What did you mean when you said you had a dirty UA? I know what it means but what did they find? Because Dr.s in pain management have to give you random Drug tests whenever they feel the need. If it comes back bad again they can keep you from getting any meds. Please be careful.

Sorry to jump in here but I wondered how a pee test could come up dirty when we are using prescribed meds. That's a little scary. The reason I ask is because I got reamed by an ER dr one time when I had a kidney stone. I even carried all my meds in the prescribed bottles. He really embarrassed me and made me mad when he sent me home without even doing any tests after blood test. I ended up back in another ER within 24 hrs and they hooked me up to pain pump right away when my bp was througj the roof with pain. Nurse there told us that the way I was treated there was rediculous. She said that I clearly wasn't drug seeking and all they had to do was a simple test and know I had a stone. Plus, look at my med bottles or records, duh! Ended up with a bill from the first hospital that was near double what the second was and the first one did nothing, while the second did tests, scans, and kept me in ER until I passed the thing. Grr!

Sorry for the rant....can you tell I still have a sour taste in my mouth? Lol

Sleeping beauty. I have had the same issue exactly! !!! The hospital and Dr.s offices sometimes get it in their head that just because some do abuse meds and drugs that everyone is like that. I still get looked at and questioned about my meds. I'm on percocet and Methadone for pain but every time I have been in the hospital or have went to an urgent care for anything they see the meds I'm on and immediately assume that I must be a drug addict and what's funny is that is sooooooooooooooooooooo far from the truth. I have never taken drugs, I don't smoke, I don't drink. I have never had an issue with my meds like taking to many etc. I'v never failed a drug test so my Dr. Knows me and trusts me so he's always willing to fight for me and prove I can be trusted but yes it's hard and it's part of what goes on in our society. It's not just you. It's everyone.

I think a lot of people automatically associate methadone with heroin rehabilitation. For the minority's drug abuse we all pay the price. I am very glad you all have good doctors! Blessings
