Have you tried heat or ice or essential oils? Stretching the surrounding muscles? Massage? Acupuncture?

All of the above I'm afraid. I've tried herbs, Chinese medicines that stink the house out u name the normal stuff n I have tried it. Emu oil worked initially to give help during the day but nothing at night. I even bought a magnetic heat lamp but that is only helpful when I can stay still. I know it would help if I could lose weight but the medicines I've been on have slowly increased that n although I have spoken to the doctor about changing them he won't. So any advise n help would be greatly received

Diet changes? My boyfriend has severe RA and quitting all grains has made a world of difference for him. For me eggs, sugar and processed foods make me feel worse.

I use MSM, it is suppose to help with the health of soft tissues. Check with Doctor. Are you able to do PT? Pool therapy? Also ask doctor about Myofacial release message.
