Pain induced vomiting?

Aug 27, 2016 12:17 AM

Does anyone else's fibro pain get so bad they puke?

I've had days of being in so much pain I've puked for 4-6 hours straight, with virtually no pause and extreme pain during it.

Has anyone else had this?

Siren, when my pain gets out of control. Yes I will throw up and get very dizzy and continue to throw up until it eases.

Me too...pain gets so bad sometimes i puke my guts up... so i tend to eat very little and often so i dont loose my meds. I was put onto transdermal patches to help me stop losing my analgesia all the time 😙

Siren, yes that happens to me as well. When my pseudotumor is out of control and pressure is high, I do tend to puke my guts up as well.

This happens to me in my acute episodes (10/10 pain and intermittent, severe, seizure like muscle spasms) all I can do is hope that I keep my meds down, try to breath, stay as calm as possible and hope

Any pain causes me to vomit. I take promethazine!!! It's my EMT!!! LOL but there is also One called Ondansetron!!!(I'm allergic to that one!) This one tends to give people headaches.
Both of these are good for nausea and vomitting. I get extremely sleepy on the promethazine but I'd rather sleep than vomit.

I can definitely relate to how you are feeling. I often have pain to the point where I am so nauseous and I actually perspire because of the intensity. I often find that having a Med Lemon (colds and flu) and a good long nap helps when I am at that level. Hope you feel better soon!

What's med lemon, please? @bravesnow

It is a sachet based medication that you add to hot water. http://www.medlemon.co.za/ here is the link...maybe you can find something similar ar your pharmacy...

Thank you @ bravesnow I'll look for it! I hate pills if something natural works I'm there!

Yes. I try my best to not eject the medication, but it happens usually with combination of ferocious pain, heaves, fever, chills the whole enchilada. Once I get started it takes over so easily with my bulimic disease. Even the the thought of it makes me shudder.😖
