Pain management suggestions?

Apr 11, 2018 12:14 AM

I just turned 17 and so my medication options are pretty limited for managing my fibro. I’ve been having severe joint and muscle pain on my right side (especially my hip) for a few days now. All my doctor can do for me right now is Flexeril and regular meds like ibprophen/Tylenol. Do you have any suggestions for managing this type of pain at home on your own? Any suggestion is welcome! ☺️

I have tried it once before, only because I was in a lot more pain than I am now.i know what it feels like I’m 12 and all I’m allowed is paracetamol and Ibeprofen which dosnt touch my pain. It’s meditation it works on some but not all.

Have you tried heat? Heating pad or electric blanket. Soak in tub in warm water with 1-2 cups Epsom salt. Magnesium helps some people. A TENS unit helps some people. Hope this helps.

Maybe check if your vitamin d level is low, many times a difficiency can cause pain. Also there's something called CBD oil that has the medicinal properties of marijuana without the thc which is the part that gets you high. It comes in different flavors. Always check with your doc first- just in case I didn't proofread it right;)

Also a feather mattress that goes on top of your mattress is really helpful!!
