Pain Meds

Nov 03, 2014 2:55 PM

I suffer from Bilateral Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (neuro & vasc) and Myofascial Pain Syndrome in my back. I take Cymbalta and Oxycodone to control my pain, along with receiving monthly trigger point injections. I'm concerned about the longterm effect that the Cymbalta has on my liver and other organs
I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions for a 'relatively safe' med that I could take in combination with the Oxy. Thanks

cymbalta is mainly for depression and anxiety. I believe all medications are going to have side effects and state they are going to harm your body to some extent. Tylenol and Motrin also now can have long term effects possible as well. I think all depends who you are, if they will have an overall impact on you. they have to note all possible outcomes to cover their butts 😋. it really comes down to what helps you best. I hope this helps in some way.

The Cymbalta also Is also used for nerve pain. I use it for both nerve pain and depression
