I get it on the right side. I find that its usually trigger points in my shoulder and neck causing it. Sometimes it feels swollen as if i had been punched but it isn't. Try massaging along the bottom of the jaw and the base of the skull, down the neck and into the upper traps.

I use that site a lot to try to figure out what muscle groups are causing my problems.

I get it from my neck a lot, always on the left side. But if I don't get relaxed I begin having trigeminal neuralgia (TN) around the left temple and eye, which sometimes triggers migraines (or maybe they're aura symptoms warning of a migraine). I haven't figured that part out exactly. Sometimes tension in the neck triggered the TN, and other times it triggers migraines without the TN. I hope you can find ways to destress. I understand what you're going through. Hugs & prayers! 🙏🌼
