Pain pump

Feb 27, 2016 1:41 PM

Anyone have experience with the intrathecal pain pump? I've had oral meds, surgeries, and neurostimulator, none have been effective so my Dr is recommending first a pain pump. If that doesn't work then anterior spine surgery to strengthen the spine by caging it because the bone graph was not successful for the posterior spine surgery... I really don't want to go through anterior spine surgery. Pain pump surgery is no better but it will be similar to what I've already had having the neurostimulator surgery.

Awtumleaf1, I don't have experience with a pain pump. Was your surgery on your neck or back? I had anterior disc fusions on my neck and it went very well. But the discs above & below are collapsing. And now I have thoracic, lumbar & sacral issues in multiple areas. I wish you very gold results and will keep you in my prayers. 🙂💕🙏🌼

Both cervical and lumbar surgeries... I am now having unstable discs above and below surgery sites, which they said might happen. Problem is, is that surgeries did not help original pain, it's still there and the neurostimulator doesn't get deep enough to touch the pain. I'm hoping the pain pump will work.
