Pain relief stopped again grrrrr

Oct 07, 2015 12:30 PM

This is just a rant!!! I'm on tramadol, dihydrcodiene, gabapentin and amitripiline. I put my repeat in and every couple of weeks or so I ring chemist, it's not there. I ring doctors and they want to see me in person to discuss it. That is fine but it's happening every few weeks. I'm left in pain and barely able to walk due to extreme pain in knees and back. I go to doctors, explain and they print my prescription and I leave. Complete waste of my time and just causes upset and leaves me in pain. With 5 children and a hubby recovering fron a decompression and fusion op c6 / c7 cervical spine for spinal stinosis. I'm so cross right now. Things are hard enough. Sorry for rant. Hugs to you all. 💜💜

That's what this form is for: partly to rant and partly to share success stories, because most of us can empathize with you not just sympathize. We feel your pain in our heart.

We can relate to the futile merry-go-round of going to the doctor getting a script and being sent home.

We all need mercy and The 4 lttr word:pity. Pitty is a word that most of us need to look up, because it's not a "four letter word". It's meaning carries with it the idea of wanting to alleviate another one suffering. This can be done physically or I can be done by support: this forum-- many offer words of consolation and hope, thus, "taking pity on" our fellow sufferer.

So, pour your heart out and know that many of us care for you and also know that even though it seems permanent God has promised of Revelation the 21st chapter versus three and four that it is not permanent. Look it up it should you comfort you.

Best regards, SuffererinKind747

Thank you very much suffererinkind. I will look it up. It is a merry go round and some time you question why it is happening and why can't I get help I feel I need. Sure it will resolve with the pain killers. Hope your well xx

I can definitely relate to what you are feeling. Mythoughts and prayers go out to you and your family and I pray that you will start feeling better fast and that things will start to smooth out and get better for you and everyone in your family. Hang in there my new friend. Keep us posted. As for ranting, that's what we are all here for. So no apologies Necessary. Huge hugs

Katyhadenough, I think most docs are now required to see any patient who is in need of pain meds. Or at least that's how the docs in my state are. I hate you're having to suffer so! Hugs & prayers! 🙏🌼

I've spoken to the doctor about this constant stopping and when ever the repeat goes to a new doctor who doesn't know why I'm on both tramoldol and dihydrcodiene ( although they could check my notes surely?) They will stop it. I'm thinking of putting the repeat in on different days separate to see if that helps? Xxx

Katy, you can do that however, they may look at the notes and even though it's after getting your meds, it could still end up that the next time, he may or may not give them to him. I hope it works out for the better. Never having this happen to me, I don't really know how I would handle it. Either way, I'm here for you and am sending you {{{{Hugs}}}} and well wishes that you are given the meds you need to get by. 🌻🙏🏻
