Apr 12, 2016 7:51 AM

Hi there
I am booked to see a pain team on Thursday. Does anyone have experience of this ?? I'm a bit weary.

Welcome LMP20! My experience with my pain specialist has been good. Try not to stress yourself. Most systems have contracts to sign, some stricter than others. I have allergies and sensitivities to most pain meds. We opted for nerve blocks in my spine, and it worked really well for me. I hope you have good experience with your team. Hugs & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌼

Are you seeing a pain doc or an actual team? I went to a children's hospital a couple hours away, and had doctors with different specialties all in one place, to figure out what to do next. It was pretty cool, and the docs there actually talk to each other, instead of the usual everyone doing their own thing.

I was nervous too, good luck and I hope they can help you

I'm in Canada if it will be a different process and experience for you. Mine was not a good experience but that doesn't mean it won't be for you. What worries you about it?

*So I don't know if it will be different for you. Sorry about the typos above.

I seen 2 different pain clinics both said there was nothing more they could do and to try and keep narcotics at the lowest dose. Hope yours goes better
