Painful scalp

Oct 24, 2014 11:41 AM

hi, does anybody else get an extremely sore and tender scalp sometimes? I'm in absolute agony, I can't even put my hair into a ponytail or touch my roots it becomes unbearable, any advice/medication/products anybody knows of that helps? Thankyou xx

Yes, it happens to me too. Not every day but quite regularly. I haven't found anything yet that works, so I don't have an answer for you. Just know, you're not alone and I can empathize with you.

What does your doctor say? Mine is sending me to pain management for some botox shots into the nerves he believes are causing the problem for me. We did test injections a few weeks ago with lidocain and cortisone which provided temporary relief. Might be worth for you to have the conversation with your doctor... xx

I haven't specifically mentioned it to the doctor because I have so many other symptoms I often forget haha but it's getting worse so I'll mention it to him when I go next week. seems like it's my second home!! haha. sounds like a good doctor you have there! thanks for the advice Hun xx

I've had botox for the HA pain 3 times ( every 90 days ). it does work for me, however as time goes on it is lasting less than the 90 days prescribed. There is no information on the long term affects of that much toxin introduced into the scalp and forehead. still, for me, better than staying on opioids for the rest of my life
