pain...........lies, lies, lied

Aug 31, 2018 12:55 AM

For the Last 2 1/2 years , I have been told By an Orthopaedic, Neurosurgeon , Physical Therapists, and nurses, that therapy ,supplements, healthy eating helps with chronic pain. They LIED , I have tried everything. I tried PT, Dry needling,Glucosamine , Aquatic Therapy,Muscle Relaxants, Pain meds, Traction Therapy, Oral Steroids, Injections. And Guess what..... the Pain Medication does not WORK any more. I was Diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease last year with damage in my C5 and C6 Disc, and Lumbar Degenerative Spondylitis , then I developed very bad neck and shoulder pain about 6 months later. I decided to get a 2nd opinion, I took a new MRI and found out I have developed Severe Neural Foraminal Stenosis C5-C6, C6-C7, posterior displacement at C3-C4, C4-C5, C6-C7, and a Hemangioma in the T3 Vertbral body and a Flattening of my Cervical cord C3-C7. Now I do see why NONE of the Pain Relieving lies gave me relief, I now realize these things just buys time, waste money , and works for short periods of time.....Does any other Chronic pain sufferers sometimes feel like some treatments or just a disappointment???????

Any of the RED varieties are best for chronic pain patients. Example Red Bali, Maeng Da are great varieties.

Always. Always. Always. I have DDD too but not to your severity. Have you heard of spinal cord stimulators? I know someone who had one fitted and it changed her life.

Take care,

Love and positivity 🌈

Have you spoken to a Dr about it? Are you in the UK? I work for the NHS so I might be able to give you some advice xx

Thanks so much ALL, I tried Bali Kratom Caps weeks ago and maybe I got the wrong kind or brand but it seemed like it made my joint pain more intense.... I had my 1st Medial Branch Block in August and due to have a 2nd one the last Week in September , before i will be getting radiofrequency Ablation , does anyone know a member that had Ablation in their neck, I’m kinda scared , because the nerves my Dr say I don’t need controls my arms and fingers.....of course my Husband keep creeping me out with his what IF Theories 😏

Cb1227 I had RFA on my kneck in Dec 2015 in Jakarta Indonesia C3C4 at same time they did L3,4,5. Did 6 to 8 in both areas first day (1 hour) next day lot better back and kneck but still some pain so next day did it again 2 neck and 4 back slightly different locations. After that all was very good until last November returned to UK and Very cold weather things started getting worse again. But then I was warned it could wear off in 2-3 years. And going from 30C to -5C did not help at all

Wow Condex that gives me something to think over seriously, so what other methods of pain relief are you using currently? Because I’m having a lot of Problems with pain meds not working and deciding to resign from my job, especially since RFA hasn’t worked at all for people I’m asking

I was on Tramadol, naproxen, but that the T caused a serious problem driving (of course) now I have had to give up temp work driving. Semi Retired.
Now on loads of Paracetamol, N and I am also on Venkafaxin for depression (have been on V long time)
P helps but not much N seems to help a bit too.
But even on T it did not do a lot.
Looking at maybe Canabis Oil that is available now UK.
But real answer I hope is Paget's Disease Infusion on Monday and then Major spine op in next 6 weeks for L4. There is a possible problem with the op as RFA can fuse the tissue in the area if treatment and this may/will cause the surgeon problems getting to the required location to do the decompression and probably bracing

I’m currently on Tramadol, and Zanaflex which does not work any more. I am currently looking to try Cannabis because I tried it once and I did see a difference, on the other hand I tried Kratom too and all it seemed to do is intensify my pain .... I guess we are gonna have to try different things until we find a match , so keep the faith , I hope we both find solutions soon
