I get hungry but i may not have enough energy to eat. I try to keep fruit cups, applesause, bannas or yogurt to help with those midnight raid. But ice cream usually wins.

It's oki have my healthy choices it's just like when I can't get the under control all that works is eating for me normally crackers or yes chips

I find when i hurt more i eat more, might be an emotional thing or maybe since being in pain drains energy my body is looking for fuel. Lack of sleep affects self control so we go to the bad and easy foods like chips and cookies or candy.
Its been proven that lack of sleep (the study was shift workers but it can be applied to us) is related to increased food consumption and poor food choices.
Very normal I'd say

That sounds about right. Although even if I have healthy snacks available I still go to the unhealthy stuff even to the point of making custard from scratch lol

I was reading on some clinical trial website that if you have fibro you need to drop an extra 500- 800 Cal's a day on top of any weight loss suggestion as our metabolism and ability to use energy is completely different, that on top of being even more difficult if over 40yrs plus if on pregabalin as that drug alone makes your appetite increase how fab eh

So KitKat it was saying to subtr 500-800 calories from the average suggested 1500-1700 calories. That awful low amw of calories.

I find that if I eat less I feel worse. And make sure you consume more than 1200 cal in a day or you will be causing more problems.

Yes. I learned that the hard way. I had gastric bypass and lost 200 lbs so I thought after a few years if I at less and kept mov more I would keep my loss I ended up gaining 50 lbs that year

Wow. So what do you do now?

Mar 15, 2016 5:21 PM

Well what happened was I had put my body into starvation mode. Which memt it thought it was a famine and was storing all the fat in the foods. I had stopped getting hungry at all. Which only made it worse. So I had to go back on a scheduled eating program had to eat evey two hours a protien and a carb this took a year to rest my body I lost the weight I gained and was back on the right road but then life happened and ended up going back into starvation mode again but on top of it I had stress. So that's when my eating and weight yoyo struggle began. Then fibromayalgia happened.
