I went outside to call my dogs inside and as soon as I walked on the wet steps my feeling went out in my left leg. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I didnt feel any pain or realize how bad it was until I got my feeling back and took my pants off. I have bad bruising a bad knot on my shin and my knee looks really bad. Ugh. Im ready for my MRI to hopefully get answers. I don't want this to happen when I'm in public.
When you say paralysis, so you mean you couldn't feel it, then feel, or do you mean more like numbness, and then tripping. I have a nerve disorder where I still can't feel my right side, even though I'm mostly in remission.
I've fallen, but could feel most injuries, I had numbness and hypersensitivity at the same time, which is strange and seemed to hurt worse. Not saying you're in the same situation, but what have you talked to the docs about. If it's neurological, then there may be no obvious answer.
I hope you get answers about what's causing this, and can get it treated.
I'm sorry you ahave to go through this. I understand how you feel. I had a history of passing out or sliping to the point my sis would not go in public with me unless I had a wheelchair or many places to sit. I would certainly call a Dr or even go to ER. I don't really like ER since you be there all day and night but I do understand how important it is to get answers. Until then just rest up and I'll pray and be thinking g of you. That u get balanced. I've had to teach myself how to walk impaired in many ways. I've learned how to walk while dizzy with numb limbs and walking straight with a high level of pain. It's funny in a way. It's like my body is playing g a game the more I adpat the more pain I begin to experience. That's not a good but hopefully u can see the irony
Wantanswers I know how aggravating that is you are telling your Dr's about the numbness ,tingling and everything else . So they do the EMG and it comes back negative. They look at you like your crazy. Welcome to my world. The only thing my Neuro would tell me is I guess it is caused by the Syrinx pressing on your nerves and muscles causing the numbness, tingling and to fall. Not much too make sense but that's all he's got to tell me. Hang in there hunney it will get better, only to start all over again. I have fluid inside my spinal cord. It called a Syrinx and dx with Syringomyelia. I am scared to death that I will be in a w/c with in the next two yrs. Will keep you in my prayers sending hugs your way.
