Partly explains the fatigue 😷

Cough + sneezing + post nasal drip + fatigue with activity = Asthma & Allergies

I've been coughing & sneezing 3-4 days, post nasal drip about 4-5. Fatigue with activities just close to two weeks. Again today I was exhausted just from showering and drying my hair, so much so I was breathing heavy. I asked my hubby to bring a stool to sit on & dry my hair and still got overtired. We ran our errands and I was so tired just walking into Walmart that I used a cart again. By the time we got home I felt worn out and was short of breath & breathing hard. My hubby asked if I'd checked my spirometer... Duh! Of course it was in the yellow and I rested an hour and rechecked. It was still yellow so I used my emergency inhaler waited two hours and rechecked. I was even lower in the yellow so I used the e-haler a second time. Two hours later I was back in the green. I must have been having asthma symptoms for the last week if not longer. I know I should track my spirometer daily, so this doesn't happen. But am I the only one who forgets some things when they aren't currently an issue, or do some of you do this too? Anyway, I hope in a few days I will improve. Goodnight, peaceful rest & sweet dreams to all! 🙏🌼

Flappsy, I am sorry you are going through all of this.. I have to say, I think we are clones... I've been dealing with the same sinus issues, allergies, post nasal drip, sore throat, cough and feeling like someone kicked the crap out of me. The only thing that I don't have is actually asthma. Although, sometimes, when I am dealing with a fibro flare and my costochondritis is acting up I feel like I can't breathe properly and then my head starts thinking too much.... Gee, is there something wrong with my heart, my lungs, am I having high blood pressure, etc... all of which I know are NOT happening because I had all of that checked and so far, so good. I just get nervous about it I guess.. I think I'm becoming neurotic from all these things I've been diagnosed with over the years. I always tell people I'm a little "off"... LOL!!! I forget about things that I'm supposed to do as well... Like, I forget to take my synthroid and my Zoloft and then when I start feeling weird, I think to myself... hmm. I forgot to take my regular meds. The others are easy to remember because I always have pain so those meds are important and help take away some pain. The others take care of things I don't notice except the Zoloft... I start getting depressed and think, DUH!!!! You wouldn't feel this way if you took your meds.. LOL!!! So, I understand what you're talking about. Hang in there, Flappsy.... I'm sending you a hug.

Goofiness aside how is your Asthma doing this evening Flappsy. I had it as a child and finely outgrew it in my late teens. My last attack was when I was 16. But I have to deal with Bronchitis frequently. How you have a good night

Thanks Weezie & AlwayZ! I think LoL will never mean the same to me either.

I didn't have any allergies until after my second child was born & she was 9 when I had my first asthma attack. Enwrap in the family have it but mine is the worst. Someone can walk by with perfume on and I can have an attack. Multiple scented things can set me off.

I'm doing much better, being able to keep my breath in the green on the spirometer yesterday afternoon. I'm still tiring easily but not to the level of fatigue. I didn't realize my nasal spray for allergies was messed up and I wasn't getting proper doses. When I sprayed into the air and it didn't do right it was an "ah ha" moment. I called the pharmacy for a new one.

But because I'm still feeling not quite where I should, and my hubby and I both felt Saturday was a close tentative run to an ER if things hadn't started improving that evening. I'm going to the pulmonary doc Wednesday. I'm coughing up congestion and have nasal drainage causing the cough. But I have to be careful of what I take due to the sjogrens now. My eyes, nose, mouth, & throat stay so dry, and I choke on meds and food because it sticks in my dry throat. Drinking extra water doesn't help. If I use otc meds like normal I know it's going to increase the dryness. I need some guidance on what to treat with, and he'll likely do a chest stay, because I've had bronchitis a lot the last few years. Besides that, I'm suppose to have an EGD scoping of my mouth to stomach so the GI doctor can see if I have damage causing the choking issues. I want to make sure it's OK to have it, make sure my lungs are clear. 🙏🌼
