Yesterday my dad and stepmom threw a impromptu 🍖 BBQ for the family. Now you must know we have a huge family of 12 (6 of them are mine 😍) so it's a day long party 🎉 with lots of food and lawn games and a bonfire 🔥 at the end of the night. We were at my dads for over 7 hours. Which means I couldn't lay down all day and bearly had time to sit. And I'm 💰 paying for it this morning.
But the thing is I really don't mind. Ya it sucks to be in so much pain but these BBQ 🍗 only happen every month or so and it's the only time we all get to see each other together. But I wish I knew a way to go to the 🍗 family get togethers and not be in so much pain afterwards. Any ideas?

There really hasn't been a way I've found to work when we have big family parties to not suffer the next day or sometimes a couple of days. Unless I got shitfaced drunk doing shots with my family.. LOL!! NO... bad, bad, bad... I just kick it up to doing too much the day before and enjoying my family. Glad you had a good time. Hope the day gets better for you. {{{Hugs}}}💕

When I get overwhelming pain from a great day beforehand, I take a looooong hot bath with sea salt, baking soda & lavender essential oil along with listening to my favorite music. Then I snuggle up in bed and watch old movies and fall asleep. That is IF family allows it and everyone is doing their own thing and do not need me. I make time.

QuietLight, that sounds delightful!!! Since I can't get up once I get down the tub bath is out for me.. I used to love to go in and just take a long hot bath in the dark with candles and music. Always relaxing.

😕 that stinks! When I can't get myself out of the tub, hubby helps. I will die the day I can no longer soak these aching bones. Do you have a hobby you can delve into to forget about the pain?

QuietLight, when I'm having an especially bad day, I may have myself a good cry and then pull myself up by my bootstraps and get on with my day. I draw, listen to music, sing, dance (yes, dance.. when I hear music and it has a good beat, it wil always make me move), use meditation, mindfulness, gentle stretching and come here to try to make someone else's day better. That's always been one of my favorite things to do. When I found this app, I was pretty raw and felt worthless and like I wasn't worth the air I was breathing. Well, just knowing that I was able to put a smile on someone else's lips or cheer them up, give a hand to hold or a shoulder to cry on gave me new purpose to a life that I had thought was just for shit.. So, I had to get rid of that stinkin' thinkin' and keep positive and I try to stay that way. I have my days (we all do, we're only human after all) and those days I go through all of the things I love and find some distraction. {{{{Hugs}}}}💕😊

I dont know if you can get them there, but here we have stick on patches with deep heat. Maybe give those a try?
