Pelvic and perineum pain

Sep 21, 2015 3:18 AM

I have been suffering from chronic pelvic, anal and perineum pain. With loss of urinary continence . Early this year I was struck by a moving vehicle while on a pedal bike. I was checked out and there is no internal damage they can see.

I am on tramadol but it only helps to dull the pain in my lower back and pelvic area. When I get pain flairs they come in waves and it feels like when you slip on a bike and 'rack yourself' that sharp pain in the perineum and anal area.

Just trying to find a decent med or non med that could help better until they determine the exact cause of the pain

Deiveron, I'm sorry to hear about your injury and pain. Look into pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD). It has to do with all the little muscles, tendons, & ligaments that are in the pelvic/groin and thigh regions, and they can affect bowel and bladder function. It usually comes from childbirth trauma, but maybe your pf muscles were traumatized in a similar way.

I've taken a tiny blue pill that dissolves under your tongue, Levsin, that helps internal muscles relax and not spam. I've also taken Donnatal for cramping of pf region muscles. Good luck researching and finding what helps. 🙏🌼
