Pelvic, hip leg and back pain. returning after a long time

Dec 11, 2017 11:28 AM

So i am returning here after some time. I am in a bad spot, i was put on medical leave from Walmart because i couldnt do my job, i couldn't even do the greeter job. After my accident on 2014 i have been going through a tough time getting work. i applied to disability but they said i could do "light work" even though my doctor has me on a serious restriction (no lifting more than 5 lbs, no constant squatting, sitting, standing, walking, bending). I cant go very far or do too much. the pain and oother symtoms (incontinence) limit my ability to do much.

If you're applying for disability know that it will always get rejected the first time.

Document your pain and journal everything. Even the things you try and do to help. I assume you're required to see your pain doctor once a month. Get a copy of your records and keep it up to date with each new visit.

Talk to a counselor and again, get a copy of all your documentation. Unfortunately we have to advocate for ourselves but if you make sure you cover your bases and push through you should qualify.

I loved going to the chiropractor! I’ve had back and hip problems since I was 8 or 9 years old and started seeing a chiropractor at that time, I’m 42 now. I’ve continued over the course of my life up until about 5 years ago...my pain got so bad that I just couldn’t handle being touched, let alone manipulated with adjustments. I had to stop going and I miss going so bad, I always got some kind of relief from adjustments. Sometimes I could just go a few times a year, other times I had to go a few times a week, but I always got relief. I just miss getting relief of any kind. The only relief I get now is when I’m sleeping. I did recently buy and inversion table and I’ve been using it a few times a day and while I’m on it, it feels wonderful, but unfortunately you can only stay upside down for about 3 minutes at a time.
