Do you have any pets? Do you find they are therapy for you? Do you have a registered support animal?

I have four cats. Alfie (DSH) is 12, Beau (Savannah) is 2 and thinks she's boss, Teddy and Jude are 1 year old Ocicat brothers. I'd be lost without them. I'm home all day, so they're real company for me. Especially when hubby is deployed.

I also have four children. Lily is 16, Liam is 15, Ruby is 14, and Blue is 8. They are the reason I need therapy. 😐

Welcome to our community Feduplass09! I'm 54, married, empty nester, with two daughters, a granddaughter, 3 grandkids by marriage and 2 not yet grandkids. Lol, we still call them all ours. Long story, but I had to leave work in 2010, and now I'm trying for disability due to continued deteriorating health. My hats off to you dealing with chronic pain issues & raising children, with a hubby who goes on leave. Congrats!!

I love cats but can't go within 3 feet of them due to allergies. Lol. I use to look like I had black eyes all the time. I have a 2 year old Jackapoo, named Bear. I lost my 8 year old Yorkie almost 2 years ago from cancer. My heart was so broken I didn't think I wanted another, as we'd already buried our first Yorkie. We happened across this one as we were leaving an adoption center. Someone was surrendering him and it was loved at first sight. He came right to me, when every other dog would shy away from me for over a year. He's been a perfect fit to our family. And everyone of our family is fighting over who gets him if something happens to us. Lol! I didn't realize how lonely I was in the daytime until after we adopted him. We had been contemplating getting him a playmate, but after today I don't think so. He's a very jealous baby... Read my "What was I thinking?" post today. Lol. Hugs, love, & prayers you have a peaceful night! πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•

You don't have to register a support animal. Well let me correct that your state may require it. Mine does not. Infact to have mine in my apartment my doctor completed the paperwork saying I need them. Pretty simple.

Hello, I'm 51, I was smashed up in auto accident in 91, add some cancer returning I had a big battle and won.. but the pain, I started falling, my heart was broken and depression was taking over. . So why not get a trainable dog for service. .I got a husky that was rescued. . Being I was sent a wheel chair, I have my 2nd larger husky training to pull my chair.
I have doc. FED. Is over state law no special doc needed. However to legal get the dog fee and monthly rent charges can be dropped with the Dr stament.

I have a dog named Gussie. She stayed out as a big problem, but she's very intuitive about helping. She woke me up this morning, then opened the door for me. Definitely can see some of the border collie.
She is also the main reason I sleep, and since adopting her I've been less stressed.
