So today was day two of physical therapy and things went much better.. well better in a since.. I made my whole time, with very slow and supported movements. I also managed to drive myself today which ended up being not such a good idea. My pain levels are very high and getting higher and now we've got winter weather rolling in. This weekend is not shaping up to well.
:( am so sorry you are dealing with so much pain. Am.hoping that this weekend will.be better than you are anticipating. Am hoping that you soon reach the point where the PT Will not make you more sore but instead it will start making things easier for you...
What Mimikay said ⤴ plus I'm hoping that your incision will close up very soon then you'll be able to do water therapy which won't feel so hard on your body from being supported by the water.
When you go to PT let someone else drive you until your body is a bit stronger and PT doesn't hurt so much. You don't want to be driving when your pain is high as you might have an accident which could be blamed on you as dangerous driving and/or driving under the influence depending on what meds you're on as well. I'm sorry if that's a bit over the top but I only want you to be safe, you've come so far now plus be a lady of leisure while you can and be driven around....you could always imagine your a big movie 🎬 or music 🎶 star 🌟 or royalty 👑 that has people waiting on you hand and foot to do your every bidding!!! Lol (sometimes I'm amazed at what comes into my head!!! 😨😂).
Stay inside and keep warm over the weekend and don't go out unless you really have to. Take it easy , you'll need to rest a bit after doing a couple of sessions of PT this week.
Sending you positive vibes and warm healing hugs xx
Thanks sezzy, lol I like the movie star idea..thst could so work out. Lol you are so right I think that is part of my frustration. I'm just so ready to move forward so I can try a.d regain some independence. Tonight is a very hard night I'm praying my meds kick in very soon.
Your PT'S know about gentle PT for fibro patients? Fibro Manual has a warm up set of movements the Dr recommends before any exercise to prevent further flare ups caused by exercise. She demonstrates the warm up on her website
