Pictures from Yellowstome

Jan 17, 2017 8:45 AM

Sure wish I could post several pictures at once. Lol. May take a while but will try to post several of my pictures from our journey into the park.

Added riding a snowmobile on my bucket list. Maybe next winter. Lol.

The picture here is just a view of the mountains as we headed into the park.

Before I get into the park pictures - this is a large herd of Elk that chose to bed down by my son's rental house. We passed 4 herds total and in each there were hundreds of Elk.

Not sure why the picture is sideways. Lol.

Jan 17, 2017 8:50 AM

He7re is a close up of some of the herd. Lol. I really didn't take these sideways. :)

Yellowstone River - just beautiful.

Jan 17, 2017 8:53 AM

A herd of buffalo in front of us. These crazy people kept getting closer to them. I was waiting for one of them to get mad and attack. Thankfully they didn't.

Jan 17, 2017 8:54 AM

This one was just chilling out on the road down from us.

Jan 17, 2017 8:55 AM

Not sure what geyser this was.

Jan 17, 2017 8:56 AM

The buffalo were everywhere...

Jan 17, 2017 8:58 AM

The next few pictures will be of the buffalo walking towards our car. I believe he wasn't happy to see us on his road. ;)

To kinda see how much snow they had here is a ranger station. Look at the snow on that roof.

Jan 17, 2017 9:12 AM

More mountain views.

Jan 17, 2017 9:13 AM

Jan 17, 2017 6:06 PM

If you ever get the chance to come Sezzy, let me know. Will see if we can get a good rate at my son's rental house. ;)

Jan 17, 2017 10:39 PM

That sounds great, if I'm able to save up the money we'll be there. It looks amazing in the snow and I bet it's amazing in full bloom as well.

Jan 18, 2017 1:04 PM

I LOVE yellowstone. I really enjoyed your pictures!!

The first time i went was when i was just starting high school, with my family...our first (and only out-of-state trip together)...i was the idiot who wanted the close up shot of the buffalos with a disposable....cracked open the side door of the van rental as my mother is "quietly" swearing at me....snapped a few shots, then sllllllooooooowwwwwwlllllllyyyyyy shut it as they walked by...they were close enough i could smell them...of course... my idiocy hasn't disappeared with maturity (whatever THAT is) when it comes to getting my shots..tehehe

Jan 18, 2017 1:19 PM

Mimikay, amazing photos! I have never been to Yellowstone national park, I am hoping to go one day. I just love taking photos of nature!

Jan 18, 2017 2:12 PM

Dizzy - last August was my first time to go to Yellowstone. I fell in love. Am sure I will be visiting often.

Jan 19, 2017 12:57 PM

Mimikay, I actually made the picture bigger because I thought I was seeing things but the position of his tail gave it away..LMAO!!!😂😂😂

Jan 27, 2017 3:17 PM

How awesome! Thanks for sharing Mimikay 🙂💕🙏🌸

Jan 27, 2017 3:49 PM

@ AlwayZ & Mimikay... That buffalo was letting Mimikay & son know what he thought about them trespassing in his territory! Lol 😁
