I'd like to make use of the brand new "attach image" feature and post a picture of our two cats. They are called Marvin and Merlin, they are brothers, two years old and we've got them from the animal shelter a couple of weeks ago. I can't imagine life without them anymore. At some point in time, me and my girlfriend would like to get a dog as well.
I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your beloved pets.
If you wonder how to post images, please check out my earlier discussion called "Pain Companion update 3.7: Attaching images and better home content".
Hi Gibbler, you need to update. Hi Daniel--Marvin and Merlin are very handsome!!! Sasha is a Brittany Spaniel, just diagnosed herself with Lyme Disease! I had a Black Lab, Lena, as my service dog, but she passed away. I was hoping to train Sasha, but she is more attached to my husband then me lol. If he needs one down the road she will be perfect. We have right now 3 female rescue cats (2 kids and a hubby lol) surprise, one is pregnant and will have babies 'any time now'. None like their picture taken. 2 black ones, Scarlett and Scruffy and then mamma to be Lilly is a Calico. We think daddy is a white cat. We will find out soon LOL!!!! Have a great day!!!
I did not know there was more then one app, sorry, Gibbler!!!
Also, I'm sorry, I'm on Grandma duty of a 2 yr old when I posted my response above (and this one) so if it's confusing, sorry!! First, Sasha didn't diagnose herself with Lyme Disease, we were quite surprised when she was diagnosed with it! She is fine with everyone else. With me, cuddly, quiet and sleepy. I thought she was settling down, I could start to train her as my companion dog. Silly me LOL. And second, we have 3 cats because my hubby (Scruffy), Son (Lilly, Mom to be) and daughter (Scarlett) like cats over dogs (don't tell Sasha)
Meet my little boy Bear, a fuzzy snuggly boogely bear when his hair is grown out. He is a Jackapoo & will be 3 in September. He's standing watch on my grandpup, Gunner, a black lab-Newfoundland mix. This photo was in January when Bear weighed 18 lb and Gunner 12 lb. Gunner is now nearly 80 pounds and such a rough & tumble little boy that he's too rough to play with his Uncle Bear! Lol 😉💕🙏🌸
Gibber, my daughter and her hubby has 14 different snakes at one time, breeding them. It didn't pay out so now they're down to 5_6 pets. My granddaughter's is one that's referred to as a blue-eyed Lucy; pale yellow & white with blue eyes. They have 4 dogs, none which like my hubby or future soon in law. Lol. Btw, the candles are pretty looking. I can't have them due to my asthma though. 😔
This is Gabby our 8 month old rescue puppy. She is also a rhodesian ridgeback. She is the wild child. Probably the little sister Max never really wanted, lol. She is a goofy puppy that keeps me laughing and on my toes. Biggest challenge is coming up with creative ways to burn off the puppy energy while not hurting myself....
Oh the joys of puppy hood! Guess the puppy thought I needed a gift?...she brought me a half of an opossum. Just cannot wait to find the other half, yuck. I can only say that I had a better day than the opossum did.
@Daniel yes we recovered the other half the next morning. The joys of puppy hood. At least I know the back yard is being properly guarded. She is earning her puppy chow. Lol. I think the older one has a new apprentice, she seems to be an eager student.
This is Lady, a 9 month old Catahoula Leopard dog that strayed up on my dad's farm there weeks ago. She is so gentle and loving to everyone. And she loves to run on the farm; runs like a greyhound! My dad is like a child with their first pet over her. 😉💕🙏🌸
This is my sweet little ferret, Mischief. She's 2 years old and she's definitely lived up to her name. She's very sweet, smart and loves to play and be held by anyone who wants to hold her. She gives me my morning kisses each and every day!! 😍
Am new on here !! But although I have had fibromyagia,m.e,costacondrinitus rynards, depression, pain, numbness every where migraines, fibro fog ibs,hip pain, neck pain, lower back.pain, minor stutual damage, diagnosed 8 years ago, getting worse has it effects your neavous system.my boys marley Farley pudding & pie 8 years & Bear paw Grylls 2 in Sept x x
My baby boys- sanka De man is the black boy - called sanka from the movie Cool Running as he's so amusing and laid back like the character. And my 11 months old baby Billy-bean. The love of my life. He loves his mummy kisses and talks to me ALL the time. Love my fur-babies so much. Definitely preferable to hectic children! Yessssss- I AM a happy cat lady lol
This is my Molly and our Darla won't take pics with her. Molly is my world! She's almost 11 and has hip problems now. She has always been my cuddler! When I can't move she lays with me, when I can't sleep she stays up, and when I cry, she puts her face in my face, almost like a parent as if to say that we go through this together. Darla is getting better at it, but she was a feral, bottle fed, brat when we got her. She's much calmer now and sleeps at my feet.
I love this post. My babies are our only children and they've saved my life multiple times! Thank you!
Speaking of our babies, my little Darla girl was very sick last night and dehydrated. I finally got a call from the vet for her. Please keep her in your prayers. She looked half dead yesterday and I stayed up all night just to be certain she was drinking. Fell off the step ladder right on my coccyx. Now we are both down for the count.
Oh Leelee, no!!!!! Please take care of yourself & rest until your body sez go. As a girl I bounded off a trampoline & landed as you did. It took a long long time for my body to heal & I still have probs with it. Keep us informed with updates so we know you are doing better. 💕
Shes a darling, soo well trained.... but she weighs a ton! Yes my cat is the boss... he just swipes the dog if he gets too close! Never with his claws tho... its strange... its like he knows my dog is just a tit! Lol 🐴
These are my four, four-legged children. From left: Sandy, Ginger, Lilo, Gizmo. They are pretty much the only joy and true, loyal companionship in the world. I would be much more lonely and depressed if I didn't have them in my life.
I downloaded the pain companion app but it will not let me use my current screen name. Is anyone else using the same screen name on both apps? Also are the 2 apps connected? I am a little confused because the topic is on this app but I have read to go to the other app to post my pics. Any advise would be much appreciated.
Tina, he's handsome, Barneybear ... The young man's cute too! 😉.
Funpics, that's adorable how Pan is protecting Henry!!
Christie, the one with blue eyes, they are gorgeous! I miss having cats because of my allergies.
GemStoneStrong, we use to have an aquarium and I'd sit and stare, just mesmerized by the fish. My daughter has a Beta later that followed the directions we were in, swimming across the bowl. Sadly it good not live long. Note because of my allergies we can't have an aquarium, and I want lots of gosh instead of only a few.
Shadowfx78, Shia is a beautiful lady. I love blue eyes cats!
This post is so wonderful and uplifting. Thanks to all who shared! 😄🙂💕🙏🌸
How lovely everyone's Pet's are!!! I've so enjoyed seeing them all.. What a great dog. That's the exact combo my pit bull was that we rescued (she'd been dumped at the vet's office and I said to my Mom we've got to take her!!!) we did and had a gorgeous pit bull that loved everyone!! She figured out how to jump out the front fence and got hit by a car and crawled home. The vet got get mended and then we found her a new home with lots of property to rub on!! I miss her still. 💕🙏🏻🌻😊
This is Catticus Finch (or cat-cat). He's my chronic illness buddy; he contracted feline herpes before we rescued him and he has flares too. I've never seen a sweeter or snugglier cat. He's always there to cuddle when I'm awake with painsomnia.
I have a few pics here's #1 of my only dog Jazz. (I used to have 2 dogs but one passed a couple of years back). Jazz is very old now but she is a rescue, a family member actually pulled her and the other dog out of a bin bag which was in a river. I am joint owners with my uncle now (I was joint owners with my aunt who recently passed and it was her husband who saved the dogs, he passed years ago). I get her for short period's of time spread out over the year (e.g. 4 weeks then not for a couple of months then I have her for 2 weeks etc.)
Hello all, How awesome seeing everyone's 'babies' This is our 'baby girl' her name is Bella. She is 3 next Jan and weighs in at a slight 57kg. Yes she is beautiful but that's not where her name came from! It's actually a combination of her Dad - Bear and her Mum - Elmo (my daughters clever thinking).
This is Maxie. We do not know her background, except we were the 4th family to have her. She was very scared and timid the first two years with us (we are fairly sure she was abused), and is just now settling in. She has some of the most soulful eyes I've ever looked into.
My two chocolate labs marley Farley pudding & pie soon to be 9 years in Oct & Bear paw Grylls soon to be 2 year's this coming week & our cat fluffy whos 14 years & at 1 year old lost her eye & her jaw got broken in 3 places & all re/wired etc we luv them all xx
Our Twins boys, DEADPOOL AND ALLEY-KAT as much mischief as they cause I cannot help but love these mini panthers more then life.. I get daily cuddles n laughs always entertaining... I have another cat EDDIE and 6 sugar gliders of which I feel extremely guilty I cannot be as active as I should with them makes me feel like a bad mom :/ ... Just keep swimming just keep swimming <3
A pic of some the Suggies... This is SUGGIE GOTHAM... BATMAN IS DAD, mom is TRIXY MONROE, 1ST born HARLEY QUINN, 2ND was set twin girls KAT WOMAN AND POISON IVY, and I prayed n prayed after getting Batman fixed cuz I only always wanted one boy, just after Batman was fixed SURPRISE MOMNA HAD ONE STORED, lmao there such unique amazing wonderful beautiful gentle and misunderstood creatures!!!! My hearts grown 20 fold in four years I had them... Oh P. S MOMNA HAD MY BABY BOY HIS NAME IS JOKER <3
I have to share this one it's my FAVVVE pic of my BATMAN... He's a little pudger he's so damn cute but just to show there awesome uniqueness here we decided out blue to put a couple corner pouches on ceiling like hammocks to see what they would do!!!! Priceless as, Batman decided to chill hanging on his back in hammock eating his treat like lol what u put it there u didn't think I'd sit here n enjoy my treats??? Psshh silly mom really!!! Omg I laughed so hard he's such a HAMMMM!!! I live them sooooo much <3 my lil monjeys
Thank you @mimikay they sure are gain of my existence and the loves of my life lol... My oldest eddies my protector he showing the baby's how u do it lol.. When I'm in shower on my chair there outside it waiting and Deadpool is brave guy he marches right in that shower circles me goes to door we have a slider on our shower to our out side area fenced in I open door get air while I'm n there sitting he look both ways out that door look at me circle again pops out lmao he foes it like three times depends on length I'm in there... There wonderful lil boys <3 we rescued the twins from shelter we had them 6 month got them at two months old :) talk about cuteness lol
Eddie reminds me of a rescue cat I had. When she was bought to me she weighed 4 pounds soaking wet..my daughter named her bones. As she grew and got spoiled rotten she filled out.. I had her for 2 years before I had to move and needed to.find her a home. By then we renamed her lazybones. Lol. She was 18 pounds. The vet argued with me that it couldn't be the same cat.
I had a friend who lives in a farm where animals were often dumped. :( when one was too ill for him to give it the individual attention it needed it ended up in my laundry room.
Awwww I'm a huggge fan of BLACK CATS AND TUXEDOS!!! Never saved another color not cuz I'm mean but because of the STIGMA surrounding black cats there the ones never get adopted, in fact our shelters doing a Halloween black cat special due to the high amounts of them in shelter not being saved... There only Kitty's I ever known there the best but I love alllll animal n cats ... Just hard time with dogs was bitten young stuck with me so dogs gotta be awfully charming lol..
Anytime @mimikay, suggies are so misunderstood but such great creatures, people don't research enough then get one they end up realllly fast in a shelter.. People don't understand that there not normal pets, there nocturnal, there tree people, they make more noise then a two year old lol, Batman barks and will not stop until I come over even dead asleep mid night have a full fledged convo with him asking him what's wrong why he's crying... As long as I get up talk to him he's lonely that's all it is honestly like having a child that fits n ur hand lol.. There very special and yea even in Florida I have to turn heat on in winter some times to make sure they don't get cold anything below 70 heat goes on there use to that tropical moisture u know!!!
That is so cool.. sugar gliders are really neat little creatures and I've seen many of them and they are so adorable. I'm glad they make you happy!! If you scroll up some, you'll see my ferret, (Mischief), my hedgehog (Mr. Bristle) or as Lulabel affectionately calls him Mr. Prickles.. LOL!! My two dogs and my horse named Caruso!! Animals Really DO make things better and their antics and unconditional love make you smile each and every day!! 💕😍🤗
Yeah . Not even most doctors take my debilitating pain seriously. One was even convinced that it was all in my head". Maybe someone should tell her that the pain is all in her head while she's in labor.
This is my little Ellie, or smelly ellie as we caller her because we bath her all the time but she still manages to find something smelly to roll around in. As you can see by the background i have a messy toddler
This was our neighborhood cat. When my parents bought this house about 17 years ago the previous owners took their cat with him. Silly cat would walk the 4 miles back to where she thought was her home. After the 4th time her owners refused to get her anymore so the neighborhood adopted her. One neighbor left her garage open enough for the cat to come in and take shelter. It was cool in the summer and warm in winter for her. Three of us took turns feeding her. Other than an initial check up to make sure she was fixed she never went to the vet again. Unfortunately we lost her last month. Our best guess was she was between 18 - 20 years old. She loved to curl up in the table on our patio when I was outside. I had never known a cat to slober as much as she did. If you pet her as soon as she started purring she also started drooling. The neighborhood still misses her. We called her C A T (pronounced See - a - tea)
What kind of dog is he? He looks like a miniature of a dog I rescued. (my clients mom was going to kill it for digging holes in her yard). He was a Shepherd/Chow mix. My daughter and her friends would take turns walking him. Or rather he pulled them. Lol. They got on their skateboards and away they went. Hated to give him up but he was too much for me to care for when she wasn't home. (his name was Moose - imagine the ad I put in the paper... Moose needs a loving forever home...)
New to this app. These guys are my constant support group! Both shelter rescues, Duke (small one) is 4, we've had him two years and he is my truest friend and comforter; Max (no idea he'd get so big!) is 7 months and full of joyful energy. He's my inspiring jester.
This is Ty's sister, Abby. She's a 65 lb boxer-mix, about 98% pure, according to the vet. She is now 4 yrs old and our rescue from the pound. She was abused, but with lots of patience, love and training, she's become a very sweet, and spoiled, little girl.
Third of our 5, Taz. He suffers extremely high anxiety, so he is our special case. He's here with a grackle we rescued as a fledgling & set free this summer. They hung out together and Taz was like a daddy!
This is Leena Bean. The 5th of our 5. She was starved when we rescued her. Bone skinny & with kittens. Now she is the baby of the house who butts in everywhere and steals everyone's warm spots. Even mine!
If you are referring to Sui, we thought Turkish Angora, but have no proof. The vet in Greece said just a street cat. Our vet here says he has no clue. He's a special one though and very lucky to be alive!
This is Lilo. She's my (almost) 2 year old fur baby! She is a mixed breed (domestic + Egyptian mau ) She loves other cats, even when they hate her...loll... She likes screaming, lizards, gravy, nap time, and cuddles! She really is the sweetest little thing and she just wants tons of attention and love from mama. 💜💜
Hi all, I'm new on here and looking back over this thread I've enjoyed seeing all your little babies, the furry ones and not so furry ones! I don't have any pests yet but my daughter has 2 gerbils which she's name Bob (right) and Jeff (left). Jeff is reserved, quiet and hides a lot and Bob aka Bob the biter (because he bites anyone who picks him up even now after having them 3 months), likes to borrow and buries everything he can, he's also very active and loves gnaw on everything, a loo roll insert only lasts 5 minutes before he's shredded it! My son wants a dog and I would like to get some fish (I would love a snake but my daughter is terrified of them) but first I've got to finish decorating and our back garden fence needs to be fixed. We moved in to our home in January but I've been unwell (massive constant flair up of left side trigeminal neuralgia and very bad anxiety) and have only finished painting the living room last week so I've got a long way to go before we get our pets 😕
We visit my mum and dad a lot at weekends because it feels like it takes some of the pressure off me with running our home and looking after my two kids even tho they're 14 and 10, especially since my 10 year old was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 2 months ago. Mum and dad have 2 dogs this one is my mums she is a 6 year old rottweiler who still thinks she's a puppy but she is very loving. When I'm in a lot of pain she will sit as close to me as possible wanting cuddles, attention and trying to like the left side of my face!
This is my dad's 8 or 9 year old German Shepherd called Mason. They rescued him from an abused home. He's a very placid dog but he's the alfa of the 2 dogs. He doesn't like other dogs and it took them a whole to get him used to the rottweiler, Nellie, who they got as a puppy after they rescued him. He's also very loving but likes his own space and will sit in my dad's arm chair as soon as my dad gets up!!!
These are my boys, Alfie (4)& Billy (3). Alfie (the light coloured one)saved my life. My daughter died & my only focus was on killing myself, when this little fluffy 8wk old bundle was brought to me & suddenly I had someone who needed me. I call him my therapy dog. They are both exceptionally special boys x
Ok so here is my first baby mini matt. We named him after my husband because they have almost identical personalities. He is a outside cat but whenever I am outside and he notices he's so loving and cute he demands petting and it helps relax me.
This Gordo is prince. I've also had him since kitten hood . I bottle fed him and we thought he was gonna die but he lived. His mama was killed or died somewhere. She was very old and one day just never came back. We know she wouldn't have abandoned him out of choice because she cared for him so much and always hugged him close. So now he's huge. We never thought he'd go from fitting into out hands to a 20 pound kitty. He's very nervous about everything and it seems I'm the only one who can pet alot him without him flipping out. He lives in the main house because we live in a small back room seperate from the main house.
This is erica who looks exactly like prince but a smaller version. But don't tell her hat because she'll get upset. And she lives in the back room with me. She is more my support animal than anything. We've also had her since she was a kitten. She showed up in the yard one day and was wild. My dad caught her and then my husband tamed her. now you'd never know she used to be wild because she cuddles me all the time. She acts more like a dog though. She hates fish, tuna, milk, and litterally will eat anything else. Litterally. She has pica so we've had to stop her from eating hair, string, carpet, cardboard, paper, and clothing. But she loves egg cheese ground beef chicken and sweet bread, which I have no idea why but she has stolen a who sweet bread from me before and dragged it off he bed. She growls and attacks anyone who gets near me if I'm sick or crying including my husband. AND she sleeps at my feet at night and when I'm sick she stays by me whether it be emotion or physically. She's my support pet. And I'm so happy we adopted her.
And this is the latest addition to the family. She also lives outside and was wild but we've tamed her. She also showed up in the yard as a stray and her name is luna. Im hoping she isnt sick because she's sneezing alot but she has a appointment this Tuesday for a check up and hopefully her shots. Then from there fixing her. She's so precious.
This is Penny our black lab border collie mix. Penny crossed over the rainbow bridge with our help 6 years ago. We had to put her to sleep because she had very bad hip arthritis and her medicine just wasn't working very well anymore, she was having a hard time walking and sometimes had to try twice to get up. Penny's first years of life were horrible. She was abused and eventually abandoned on the side of the highway. My parents read about her in a local paper and on September 16, 1996 Penny became a member of our family. I was 5 years old and she was 3 I believe. She had a good long life with us she was an awesome dog, she was a little rebel at times breaking rules but she very rarely ever broke a rule. She stayed out of the family room(in the front of our house and where we have thanksgiving and Christmas and celebrate other holidays and have other dinners) as a pup she had an accident a few times in the family room but it was only a few times and we never punished her for it other than telling not to do it again(she was incredibly smart and knew what we were talking about) one Christmas morning we were opening presents and she came to the room and sat down near me on the rug in front of our front door and just hung out. One year she did something rather funny, my mom was about to enjoy two of her own chocolate chip cookies she had made the previous day and she set them down on our coffee table and went to attend to something and when she came back the cookies were gone and the napkin was damp. Penny had moms cookies! I guess Penny wanted a snack😂. Penny liked to take her Milk-Bones and "bury" them in the red chair we had. My parents were always finding a Milk-Bone or two under the cushion when they removed it when one of them was vacuuming. Penny was a very loving, loyal, protective, happy and intelligent dog. We miss her very much and we have her picture sitting on a dresser in our living room so she's with us always. Here's a picture of her a few years before her passing.
I don't remember if I posted this, but this is Milo. I miss him, a maincoon and very lovable and when I was doing something on the computer and he wanted my attention he would lay his WHOLE BODY on my keyboard and just look at me and meow once and that's all it took lol! My baby was spoiled!
@mimiKay aw thank you. Ruth is getting old and reaching the end of her time with us. But she's such a good kitty. She's going blind but still recognizes my voice. Being autistic has made me have a special bond with animals and I'm like the only person who she trusts and can calm her. She's my baby I even have a picture of me holding her when she was a kitten and I was a kid. To me she's still that cute little kitten it's ard seeing her bigger and older but I love her like it's the same day she was born. <3 I hope your grandkitty has such a happy long life. Ruth is almost 17 now.
@animallover2 thank you so much. They are all are like my support animals for my physical mental and emotional ailments. Some have problems of their own like prince has so much anxiety, that they have special needs but it makes me feel less alone. And it just makes me feel not useless when I care for them and see them happy.
Really enjoy all the pictures. I miss having a pet but my mom's allergic and I am her caregiver. One day I want to get a dog that can go camping with me. :) We might never come out of hiding though. Lol
My baby Bear and grandpup Gunner... Not allowed in the kitchen while cooking. Gunner jumps up on the counters and gets under my feet. I'm scared he's going to trip me.
There's a lot of hilarious moments now. For instance, on Saturday Gunner kept running towards Bear nipping at him, wanting to play. Suddenly Bear have chase. Bear is much faster and cuts across the yard on shorter paths to catch Gunner, who only runs blindly in large circles. Well Bear was about 6-12" from Gunner's tail, with Gunner looking behind him with wide eyes like "Oh no, he's going to catch me!".
Suddenly Gunner slammed into our solid steel bird feeding station pole, completely bowling it over to the ground. Oh yes, 3 bird feeders flew up into the air in different directions and came crashing down, breaking one to smithereens. Both Gunner and Bear were so scared they ran straight to me, barking at the wind they thought caused it! It was so funny I couldn't be mad abut the pole or feeder. Darn, why wasn't I recording it on video! I'll post the pic below of the pole. 😂
And last but not least Porch Kitty, age unknown. I'm allergic to cats, so when she chose to adopt us (she literally scoped us out for a couple months, not letting anyone near her, efore she decided we were the family she wanted and moved in) she settled for living on/under our porch. We never fed her before she moved in either. She now has a heated cat house for winter. She walks the dogs with me if I go at night, greets us at our cars (rain or shine) and walks us to the door and vice versa when we leave for work in the morning. You can't tell her size very well in the picture, but she's enormous. Not fat, just big and very muscular. I've never wished so badly that I wasn't allergic to cats. She even loves on Gypsy our pitbull who loves her back.
While many of you are having fall...we are not. For some reason it is still creeping up to 90 degrees here in Houston. I am ready for cool not cold because that makes my bones hurt. On the upside for $4.00 Gabby is having the time of her life.
Everyone's fur kids are really gorgeous and have their own stories too. I don't have a dog at the moment so everyone is going to have to snuggle with theirs on my behalf. My Bailey pusscat I'm sure has autism. His routine can't be changed or he is out of sorts. He won't sit on your lap but will sprawl out on the bed leaving a tiny bit for me! He loves to play and chase for fun. He hates being picked up. He's a blue point Siamese mix confiscated from a drug house. I've really enjoyed this post. Share your fur baby's story 👍
We are not the only ones dealing with health issues. My puppy almost died during the holidays. Thankfully we were able to save her. After 10 bags of IV fluids more $$$than I want to even mention, she is doing great. She has Addison's disease. I am lucky to have a medical background because I was able to do her IV's at home. She literally lived on IV fluids and tubed force feedings for 8 days. I am thankful she will be fine. Medication twice daily for the rest of her life. It was a scarey time. Not sure what I would do without my Gabby.
She is wild and carefree now. It was the two weeks before Christmas. She was my Christmas miracle for sure. Now we are monitoring lab work and her meds are hormones for her adrenal glands. Basically she scared the crap out of me. Thank you for your well wishes.
My dog Gracie, the one under the book is Diego, the one lying on me is my cat izzy when she was a baby and the love of my life ❤ peter ❤my favorite horse out of all the school horses I don't Owen him but he prefers me over anyone else.
Northgirl77, Colin Draco's whiskers look like they are frosted with snowflakes! Lol Cute! He reminds me of my Boots from years past. Boots would snuggle with my baby girl as she napped (she's 29), the only time he snuggled.
This is Xander. He's 8 and a chug (chihuahua/pug). He's my bestest friend and the smartest dog, ever! I have been considering registering him as an emotional support dog.
He belonged to my neighbor. If he was outside when I was in the back yard he would come over to the fence and stand on his back legs like he wanted to chat lol. So we would chat. One day when he was about a year old he got out of her yard and came over to my house just as I was leaving to take the kids to school. I always people that he escaped to come find me. :) I didn't want him to get hurt somehow and we were late so I put him in the van and off we went. (So now when the kids tell it, they say I stole the neighbors dog) Came back home and put him in my house and called the neighbor to tell her what happened and that he was good to stay at my house until she got home from work. She worked a lot of hours and didn't have the time to train him, yet while I had him he acted totally house broken. She couldn't believe he was coming to ask me to let him outside. So she gave him to me. :) Best gift ever. He knows a whole bunch of words! It's really funny because we have conversations. I know what his barks mean and he knows - hungry, food, water, bath, go, stay, snuggle, cat, outside, baby, and several others. Love my dog!
Celala Rosie is soo cute as are your furbabies silentfortress and healinghands that's a lovely thing your neighbour done.....she realised that her puppy had chosen you because she was couldn't spend the time with him, must of been a hard decision for her as well.
These are my grand fur babies! Their my daughters 2 gerbils, Bob and Jeff. Jeff is the one with the white patches on his head, he's quiet and timid but he is quite active. Bob is very active, loves to gnaw on anything he can and loves to shred toilet roll card.....put one in and it's gone in 5-10 minutes!!! We've nicknamed him biting Bob as he loves to bit every time he's picked up!!!
As they are so active the original gerbilarium I had got them seemed too small so the other day Jo was looking on eBay to get prices for a larger one.....let's just say she came across a pre loved one with some extra toys, food and bedding for a price I couldn't refuse, gotta love eBay!!!! They love their new home (new to them) and they're so much more active in it as well!!!!
Celala, all your kitty pix make me miss mine. And Eartha's grin/yawn is funny...Like she's saying "enough with the pix already!" Lol. I became allergic to our cats (or daughter did too) in the 90's, so we can't have them around. I love watching cars playful antics, especially when they sneak up on someone and grab them run! 😂
My handsome boy Paddy he's 8 years old and is my faithful companion .Unfortunately I can't take him on the long walks I used to love at the moment not even short walks (due to flare up) but he is always by my side and my two grown up boys take him out. He seems to know when I need some extra tlc and how ty cheer me up. He is a wonderful dog and I love him so very much ❤❤❤
Here's Ginger. He's the 20 lb lump that lives generally at my feet. Whether I'm laid up in bed, or up moving around he's there. He'll even flop on my feet if he feels that it's not time for me to go...
Oli chewing on his toy while laying on me. I adopted him shortly after my diagnosis. Having such a loving and caring pet has helped me get through bad times. Plus it has been helpful to have something I love that I need to take care of. Gives me that little push that I wouldn't have otherwise.
Blabla, your Dawstin looks like my Abbey... She is such a sweet dog and is always demanding Lovings.... You can stitches and pet her for hours and when you stop she'll still nudge your hand with her 👃 to get more Lovings lol!
Sjogrenspain, what breed is you Abby? Dawstin is a Black Mouth Cur. Look the breed up some time. My baby boy is a huge cuddle bug too. Taylorjoannn, what kind of baby do you have? We have a lil girl Nala who looks A LOT like Oli, we've been trying to figure out what she is. She has a slim face with bat ears. Lol. This pic is of my son Loghan and our other lil girl Klover holding hands/paws. I love love love this pic!!
My fur babies. Top left is Mikie who I've had for 11 years now. He is my last "childhood pet". Top right is my moms Pomeranian Teeney. Bottom left is Max who I've had for 9 years. He loves attention and has to be right next to me. Bottom right is my rescue baby Tony. He is the most wonderful cat ever. He is cuddly and he is also very smart! He knows when I'm upset or in pain. He has learned to turn off the lights, paw at my face to wake me when I need my meds. My babies help me every day!
Scrappy is the dark one, ScrapBella is the light color. They are both miniature pincher/ pekenese mix. Each has different traits true to the breed. Scrappy is "Scrappy", built like a tough guy. He is the old man at 10 years old. He is a hunter and goes on walkabouts. On one walkabout he got caught on his harness and we met our caretaker. There's is a very special bond. ScrapBella is sleek with a curled tail. I found her on line in Eastern Texas. Her mother died in childbirth her dad was a miniature pincher.
She has been with me since she was 3 months old. Now she is 4 years old. Her newest thing is tormenting our caretaker, she waits until he leaves his door open then she sneaks in and gets into the garbage or eats his dinner by jumping up onto the counter. There's is a adversarial relationship.
Sway is our rescue and we think she's a husky/coonhound mix. She's 6 years old and she's my best buddy. When I'm really hurting, she follows me around everywhere and is always offering gentle snuggles & kisses. 💕
My sky kitty. My dog cat. She is so smart. Comes when I call her. Follows me everywhere. She tries to play and cuddle her brother dog but he only likes her when we aren't looking. Any other time he grumbles and cries and pouts and leaves the room if she comes near. Trying to teach her to walk on her harness. But she threw herself down and got mad at me. Lol.
Here's to Zoey my 131/2 yo Dobie Sheppard mix, we rescued her and her sister from a high kill shelter when they were only 8-9 weeks old and 1 day away from being put down. Her sister Isabella went to live with my neighbor. Zoey and her adopted mama Destiney ( rest her soul in puppy heaven) saved my 3 children from a very untrained and very mean Dog. That broke through a fence to attack my kids. Zoey and Destiney did not hesitate to protect their family even when it appeared the other dog was " winning". They kicked it in high gear and moved the kids to a safe place and knocked the other dog down long enough for me to grab the kids and protect my furrprotectors. In the end everyone was safe and the bad doggy was taken from the family and trained properly and adopted to a good family ( I know this b/c that's what I requested to be done via animal control and kept tabs). To the point; Zoey has cancer in her hind leg as well as breast cancer. Her last days with us will be tomorrow and she will be going home to her mama Destiney. We love her so much and thank her for all your love and protection the memorable ones and the not so, even the unknown. Your puppy mates will miss you greatly too. This is not an easy decision for us Zoey and know we love you always. When we needed a hand you were always there giving 4 paws.
They are adorable! I used to have two tuxedo cats both adopted from shelters at different times as adults, Molly first then Mr. Socks. As you can image, they had to work out who'd be the "alpha cat". Socks, the male won but they became BFFs (best feline friends) 😍until he died 2014. We still miss him. They seemed to have a 6th sense of when my fibromyalgia flares by cuddling with me. So precious memories. 💞
Sjogrenspain77, day by day, we cope some better than others. When we take the other 3 pups for a walk we take Zoeys collar with us. Yes sounds stupid but we want her with us always. As the summer day approach we recall so many camping trips walks beach trips all the things she loved best. We will scatter her ashes at each place as we visit this summer. Maybe it'll help idk. It really feels like we lost more thank just a great pet. She was/ is family and large part of our family
I had to have my Ollie put down. She had been struggling with kidney disease we were unaware of. She was suffering at the end so we let her go to kitty heaven where she now is pain free, the alpha cat & no cat fights.
Oh I am so sorry to hear of your loss Tamtoad 😢 We had to put down our 15 year old kitty back in October after years of being on insulin for his diabetes. It was probably one of the hardest things we have ever had to do but we know he is in a much better place- pain free!
This is my dad's dog, Jacob. He is emotionally a perfect support for me. He is very protective and appear mean to strangers. I wish I can have him as a service dog for my NCS and other diagnosed health complications. I was crippled with depression due to my life and health. It was a tough time for me, and Jakey came into my room and laid down on my bed. I felt he wanted me to put down my phone, stop crying, and cuddle him. I did just that. We took a peaceful forty minute nap together. He was the first to wake up and stayed until I woke up. Photo creds to my dad, who happened to walk by and find this scene adorable.
This is my Ringo who went missing for 4 weeks! From 4/10-5/7. My heart and body are still recovering from her disappearing act. She's a cat who comes when you call her and she's never stayed gone so Long. She's now home, safe and sound ;the other two "fur babies" are readjusting to her being home. what an adventure she must have had! Just ever grateful she made it home. I was losing it, as were her "sisters."
I am sooooo sad. We had to put our 15 year old cat Noodles down last Friday. The house is so empty. He always would greet us when we came in the door. But he was sick with bladder stones that were causing him so much pain and I didn't want to do surgery at his age. I miss him so much. I'm retired and he was my all day buddy. 😞 I will for sure be getting another one but nothing can replace my baby boy!
I have 2 fur babies who keep me sane. One is a 9 year old field golden retriever named Alice who provides me with counter balance, emotional support, alerts me when I'm having an episode, and stays by my side when I've fallen or am sick in any way. The second is my baby, a 5 year old westie mix named Luna who I call my nurse because when I'm home sick in bed she never leaves my side except to go to the bathroom. She even eats breakfast and dinner in bed with me 😂. They are my heart and soul and keep me going even on the worst days. Idk what I'd do without them and I'm so glad you made this thread (this is my first post, of course it's about my puppers 😂).
You all have such sweet posts about your fur babies. I just lost 2 cats who were family members. So much of my life was about these fur babies. We have another cat left who was sorta the step-child. Now she is alpha she is showing more personality. I use cpap when sleeping & if it comes loose & I snore, she wakes me up! She is 2 or 3 and I tamed her when she was a wee kitten. Trust not fear is a lot of our relationship. Hubby & son are loving her too & she seems so happy. Sometimes I think she looks bewildered about the other 2 cats missing.
Tamtoad. I'm so sorry to hear about your lose. A few years ago I had to put down 2 of my dogs and I have one left . So I understand how you feel. Hang in there. Sending prayers and healing your way . ☺☺☺☺
My crazy Sandy Girl. Here she is chomping at the dropping shower after you get out!!! Lol. Silly girl.
But she alerts me to seizures, TIA's and Mini-Strokes since week 2 we got her from the pound as a very young puppy. She is right against me durring arts is and barks for others. She won't leave my side as my family helps me as She growls a little afraid they may hurt me. She lays with me till I'm ok. I love my Sandy Girl!!! 💓💓💓💓💓
These our my two fur babies who love to cuddle all day with me but also force me to gwt out of the house! The big one is Cole he is 2 the small one is Riley he ia 9! This is the first post I have posted got rhis app couple days ago!
I have some BEAUTIFUL pics to add but i just cannot keep my eyes open ( which is actually a GOOD THING!!) I've been languishing in pain in bed for the Las Five and ½ HOURS!!! And FONALLY IM TIRED ENOUGH TO FALL ASLEEP‼️‼️ at 3:30 AM!!!
Just took the pups outside on the grass. They were to hot in the house...anyway just snapped this shot of our newest little 6 additions. They are hound puppies and they are our fourth generation. We have great grandma that started it all about three yrs ago She is Latte , she gave us 2 litters ( 1 was 7 pups and her second litter was 6 pups) and her baby girl Sweet Pea gave us 6 pups and her baby girl Zoe gave us these 6. My fiancée said he just wanted to breed once and keep just one.... HA....while 4 litter and almost 30 puppies later we have 8 yes I said EIGHT hound dogs ( not including the one he wants to keep from this litter) a golden lab and a Pomeranian. There are also cats, chickens and a pit belly pig! If i posted pics of just all the dogs we'd be here all day! Haha maybe I'd post a pic every week or so, so I don't overwhelm everyone!
Today my Goldielocks did a cute one when my honey brought home sandwiches from Subway!! Jason has taught her how to TAKE FULL BITES RIGHT OUT OF HIS SANDWICH so now she'll do it whenever ANY of the three of us are eating a sandwich (unless it's just a plain grilled cheese, but sometimes even then, too!!) Anyway, she's a real pill!!
Goldie is also my "Bread eating Cat!!" I can't even leave a loaf of bread (in its bag, mind you) on the counter without her ripping it open and nibbling little chunks off of nearly EVERY SLICE OF BREAD!!
This is my other baby boy .. Avery. He's not really a baby more like an mature gentleman being that he's 8yo. He's more my mom's cat than anyone else's but when I'm REALLY HURTING (8+) somehow these guys can BOTH INSTINCTIVELY TELL and they will both curl up on my lap and just lay there. And believe it or not... sometimes with the CRPS, just having the weight of their warm bodies sleeping on me REALLY HELPS!!
Kmaoboe ...I thought I was the only weird one... Rupert one of the hounds that "picked me" is really long and lanky and he decides when I'm in really bad shape I lay on my back in bed... well he lays on top of my stretched out legs ...he reaches from my toes clear up past my stomach...and his weight on me really does feel good. I thought I was going nuts . This is Rupert standing on daddy's (my fiance's) chest...ha king of the world!
My only male cat, Midnight, the runt, and the only one sick. He sneezes and pukes everywhere, but he's also the most loving. He hates it when I'm outside my room, or just not paying attention to him. I have one older cat, Princess (5 yrs), one younger cat, Zephyr (3yrs) (both female) a mastiff his age (4 yrs) and a mutt named Patches (8 yrs)
I used to have 3 other cats (before my current 3) the oldest, Rex was 20 yrs when he died, he was my fathers cat, then we had 2 sisters who never got along, my cat, Smudge, and my older brothers cat, Pudge. Smudge died not long after we moved to Maine from cancer, which was a very hard time for me because I had no other friends at the time and my teachers couldn't have cared less, that's also when I got Princess, then not long after Smudge died from heart problems prevalent in male cats, thats when we got Midnight. He has the same behavior as Smudge only he sneezes and pukes everywhere, pluss he's my cat.
Chickens can fly alot further than most people think. But in this case, my fiancée put her up there...it's right next to our deck and not very tall. So ever early evening when it gets cooler we take the new puppies out on the grass and everyones on the deck with the dogs and the pig is next to the deck too, gets her treats, and the chickens (10 new chicks) everyone gets treats and attention. He just puts them up so they can relax...my fiancée thinks he's Noah...haha 10 big dogs, 6 puppies, chickens and the pot belly pig...he'd have more if he could . In fact if you can believe it, we didn't know two other of our females were in heat, we didn't know it, and damn if they aren't pregnant!!! Oh my! It's ok though, we aren't official breaders yet but we have found that the hunting community up here scoops all the hound puppies up for hunting. We won't rehome our pups with hunters ( they don't treat them well at all up here) so there are all these people that can find hound pups for just family pets for their kids... we are in the pan handle of Idaho and our pups are in California, Washington state, the coast of Oregon, I can't remember the rest. But it's like a big extended family, everyone send birthday, Christmas pictures etc. People that have hounds...it's their life! I know this is way more than you wanted to know...sorry but that's the story of the chicken in the tree😵🙃🙄🤔😊😉
My granddaughter Demi I love this girl she is so sweet and lovable and she loves her Gammy me😊she is a shih-tsu and is four yrs old. I have a grandson also a handsome black cat with gold eyes he's two, Demi raised him
This... is my very undignified, secret genius kitten. His name's Tennyson but he responds better to 'Trouble'. I've managed to teach him how to sit for treats! He desperately wants to be friends with Demelsa but she is Not Keen.
I needed to get a picture of her for a ID and we'd been at it a while. Her and her little sister had been running so much all I had was blurry shots lol, so finally I got her there and alone and told her sit, stay.....lol that's the look I got. Heehee! You can almost here the "fine, but just be quick".
This has been a high pain few days for me... and this is Benny, a rat terrier/chihuahua/mutt mix... I hoped he might become a service dog, but he doesn't have the temperament to do the public parts- nevertheless, he''s smart as a whip and will bring me the pain med bottle when I am down hard... I take a lot of meds, so I think he can tell by smell... it's fascinating! I just snapped this pic of him laying on the pillow that elevates my knees to lessen strain on my abdominal region...his head is on the hip joint where he can feel the pulse of my femoral artery.
My Boston Terrier/Shih Tzu mix, Bruno, he is one of my several dogs, he's a cute little pain in the backside, but he always cuddles into me when I'm pain, he's not even 1 yet so he is always hyper and playful but he's cute
Thank you. Our huskies are demanding so my husband and son have to take care of (Eyece and Blue) my shadow is my maltipoo (Noah) and (Flash) is not much work at all...,he is in heaven with leafs and water. 😊 LittleLola
Almost 3 months ago my wonderful Tassen went "to the other side of the rainbow" 🙁💔 he was just 4yo.. I'm sure I've posted a photo of him before, but will do it again 😉 he was my friend, my baby, my therapist... And he will always have a special place in my heart ♥
Two weeks after Tassen died, this little guy showed up in my life 😉 he brought a joy to my life, I thought I'll never get after Tassen... He's just 9 months old, little crazy rabbit 🐰 I call him My Little Terrorist, cause he is doing all he can to get the attention 😉 I'm totally in love with him 🐰💖 he's name is Eddie 😉 🐰 💖
I just lost my love of life cat Ollie (12 yrs.) & our black kitty Blitzy (19 yrs.) this summer. We lost Blitzy's sister (18 1/2 years) Missy Whiskers, shortly before that. We went from 4 cats to one in a very short time. The one we have does not cuddle as she was feral requiring incremental touching episodes. She did not get the kitten cuddling that our other three got. I miss my kitty cuddling. Miss my Ollie most of all. She used to creep, really creep under my covers in the winters to cuddle ny my feet. I guess she didnt want to wake me. She scratched at the fruit door to come in the house. If we didnt come let her in she started howling. More on my precious Ollie in a new post.
