Pictures of Your Christmas

Nov 28, 2016 11:29 PM

I love this time of the year (except for the weather induced flares). I love the twinkling lights on the tree, the smell of pine and cranberry scenter candles, and the joy in kids eyes when the see all the festive decorations. Here's my small slice of heaven. Share your Christmas decoration pics and spread joy!

Nov 30, 2016 6:38 AM

That's beautiful Cassie! I had a fireplace once when I lived in GA , but I don't now that I have moved to another state. I will hopefully get our Christmas stuff up this weekend after I deep clean my carpets. I got a new toy for Christmas and it's a 2 in 1 carpet cleaner and vacuum cleaner! 😊 I'm excited! That's sad when I'm excited over a carpet cleaner lol! But once my carpets are cleaned and dried my Christmas decorations will go up!

Nov 30, 2016 6:55 AM

I love all the decorations. Makes me want to put up mine. I have to wait until my ankle pain goes away. I have appointment with the podiatrist next Monday. He's in surgery most of this week. I can't wait until I can decorate.

Nov 30, 2016 10:18 AM

Love seeing Christmas pictures. My son got home last night. He will be here for a month. (Yea!) we will be decorating this weekend. Pictures to follow.

Nov 30, 2016 10:25 AM

What a great idea for a discussion thread. We haven't put up any Christmas decoration yet, but I will make sure to post a picture as soon as we do :-)

Nov 30, 2016 10:36 AM

My little fake tree sitting on top of the speaker. I bought it on the weekend which is the only reason its out. I have another tree about the same size that has decorations but it's still in the basement. Oh and a plush darth vader wearing a santa hat. That's the extent of my decorations

Nov 30, 2016 2:51 PM

Love the discussion and can't wait to see everyone's deco! We haven't put ours up yet but it's a tabletop tree because of space limits. I'll post when were do.

Nov 30, 2016 5:16 PM

This is as far as I've got with my new tree!!! It's a little bare atm but I've had to go out and try to get some cheap lights as most of the ones I had either got damaged being moved about from the old house to storage to our new home or they got left behind like the very beautiful Christmas tree I had because I just couldn't get it in the van to go to storage and I needed to be out of the house as quickly as possible! I will hopefully get it all decorated tomorrow

Dec 01, 2016 8:36 AM

Sezzy, I know that feeling all to well! I am sorry that you and your kids have to go through that. At least now you can have a fresh start on a new life. Prayer's up for you and your kids!πŸ˜˜πŸ™

Dec 03, 2016 9:23 AM

Thank you sjogrenspain77, I'm soo sorry that you've been thro this as well, it's been a hard couple of years but we're now starting to settle in our new home thank you......and we finally got the lights and decorated our tree this morning, now for the rest of the decorations.....tomorrow, tomorrow is a good day to do the rest!!!! πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸŽ„

Dec 03, 2016 10:20 AM

I'm just not decorating this year. I live alone and celebrate yule, not Christmas. My daughter and her beau will be coming up for yule, we'll exchange gifts, eat a wonder full dinner and then have a Bonfire ritual.

Dec 04, 2016 1:10 AM

Cassi33 beautiful

Dec 04, 2016 1:12 AM

Sezzy that so cute! I don't think I'm gonna decorate this year. Just not in the decorating mood!!!

Dec 04, 2016 3:55 AM

Finished the lights and tree today

Dec 04, 2016 6:29 AM

Mzladybug I'm struggling with being in the mood for decorating myself but my girl is very much in to Christmas this year and wants to decorate the whole house.....as much as I'll be doing is the living room and the windows in the hallway upstairs and downstairs (might need to find a couple of extra long extension leads first)

Dec 04, 2016 9:53 AM

Sezzy, my kids did the tree :) I absolutely love Christmas. I couldn't have done it 2 dais ago but with yesterday being a good day, I did it! Actually pretty proud of myself lol 😁 I had to buy another power strip. Good luck! Maybe the festive decor will get you in the Christmas spirit!

Dec 04, 2016 9:54 AM

Thank you AnimalLover2!

Dec 04, 2016 10:06 AM

MeLiz I used to love Christmas myself and I'm hoping that the house being all decorated will help me feel more festive.
Your living room looks amazing

Dec 04, 2016 10:58 AM

Melissa, Abs Beautiful! Mood Lifting For Sure! You are very fortunate to have family help! I have outdoor done. Will be awhile before inside can begin as my husband putting in new floors upstairs! Can't wait though. Will be needing lots of help! Your photos belong in a Christmas Magazine or Pintrest for certain!! πŸ’–

Dec 04, 2016 1:22 PM

Yes my stepdaughter helped me. I recruited the family to help on Thanksgiving after we ate, while the men were watching the game

Dec 04, 2016 3:37 PM

Feeling a little more Christmasy....didn't decorate the rest of the living room yet as we went to my mums yesterday and came back this evening. I'm feeling throughly knackered and in more pain from being at mums and driving, an hours drive never used to be this tiring!
I think I'll have an early night and hope for 4 or 5 hours as I 1-2 hours is just not enough!!!!
I'm actually looking forward to decorating the rest of the living room tomorrow, a friend of my mum made us a Christmas garland for the mantel piece in the living room plus I need to get out all my Christmas candle holders like my Santa's train (I'm not sure if I want to get more tea lights or get LED tea lights?) and my snow globes....ok I need to go thro my boxes to see what made it into storage, I haven't looked yet because I know I'll be upset if my favourite items didn't make it 😒
Good night and I hope you all have a restful night or a peaceful day where ever you are xx

Dec 04, 2016 4:03 PM

My nephew chillin out with Santa. I love this kid.

Dec 04, 2016 4:04 PM

Aww Mimikay that's too cute!

Dec 04, 2016 11:47 PM

I haven't been much in the Christmas mood with the one year Anniversary death of my Aunt coming up and I have been busy working with the band committee getting ready for Breakfast with Santa that I haven't had time to clean my carpets like I wanted to and my daughter's Christmas Band Concert was today. She did an amazing job and I very proud of her! I don't know when I will get my tree up.

Dec 05, 2016 4:11 AM

Sjogrenspain77 I'm so sorry to hear of your Aunts first Anniversary coming up, Christmas is a hard time for loved ones no longer here especially if they passed close to Christmas. My nan passed away 2 years ago now and the pain doesn't get easier especially at this time of year. I was very close to my nan and it is still hard without her but my comfort is that I know she's watching over us and on our angel on the top of our tree I have a ribbon going around her with a ring with wings inside it saying "nan" so the angel is my nan watching over us at Christmas.
Your Aunt is in my prayers that she is watching over you xx

Sounds like you've been keeping yourself busy and I bet everyone will enjoy breakfast with Santa.
It's one of the best feelings in the world when our children make us proud, I bet you was also filled with love and joy for her.
Don't push yourself too much trying to get everything done, as long as you have your family around you the decorations don't matter. The spirit of Christmas is to be happy, spend time with loved ones.

Dec 05, 2016 8:54 PM

We did breakfast with Santa too. We helped host. The kids loved it and it makes me smile when they smile. Hosting was hard...standing for 3 hrs nonstop. I felt like crap the rest of the day but in the moment my pain is the last thing on my mind and it's all about the kids and joy and happiness.

Dec 06, 2016 11:59 AM

Oh my, this is going to take me forever to decorate at this rate....tree Saturday and the Christmas garland my mums friend made for us put up today. I did add some red and green flashing star lights to it as well (battery operated as I'm fast running out of plug sockets)

Dec 06, 2016 12:06 PM

Our Christmas tree πŸŽ„ and krumcakes.

Dec 06, 2016 9:10 PM

Quilted wall hanging my mom made..

Dec 06, 2016 9:13 PM

The beginning of mom's bear collection. She started collecting in 1993. Hasn't missed a year since. And there's my silly Grandpup Sasha.

Dec 06, 2016 9:15 PM

More bears...

Dec 06, 2016 9:17 PM

Sasha checking out the newest addition to the best family.

Dec 06, 2016 9:20 PM

Oops.. Sasha wasn't in the past one. Lets try again. The one above is our wooden nativity scene. The "village" is actually nesting boxes. Last year I decorated my daughter's hotel room with them. Each filled with different snack foods..

Dec 06, 2016 9:26 PM

The tree. I think it needs candy canes hanging on it to complete it. ;)

Dec 06, 2016 9:29 PM

More bears. ;)
Will add more pictures tomorrow. Next year my.parents will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.. That's lots of years to collect stuff..

Dec 07, 2016 5:43 AM

I love your mom's quilted wall hanging. It's beautiful.

Dec 07, 2016 12:38 PM

Our white tree with "purple" lights and purple and blue ornaments...boys choice this year lol

Dec 07, 2016 12:50 PM

Cassie, I love helping the band and being there for my kid's, to me being thier for your kid's and being involved with their life is what it's all about.

Mimikay, your decorations and bear's are gorgeous!

Dec 11, 2016 4:49 PM

I'm getting closer to the tree being up lol! I have the spot picked out and a couple of things rearranged , my kitchen counter and now couch is a mess! Augh I will get thier tonight I hope. I am just wore out from cleaning the carpet.

Dec 12, 2016 11:59 PM

Moving into Summer it's a bit different here in the southern hemisphere. I do have some fake snowflakes for my windows.......

Dec 13, 2016 7:43 AM

Got the tree up, but not all the lights are working, do we have been working on trying to get to work so we can decorate it.

Dec 13, 2016 7:50 AM

Last shot from last night's ugly sweater cookie kit decoration fun, tonight we're doing a Ginger bread village

Dec 13, 2016 5:51 PM

Fun! I want to come to your house and play. Lol

Dec 13, 2016 7:24 PM

Everyone's decorating looks real pretty. We had to order a tree, forgetting our old one last year died (lights). We thought it wouldn't arrive until after Christmas but it came today. Talking about putting it up (6' tall) our daughter suggested we wait until next year, when she and her dog hopefully live elsewhere. She said Gunner pulls at stuff on trees, and his mom eats the ornaments. Yikes! We decided well let our granddaughter put up a mini tree when she comes Thursday overnight. Putting up her "Little People Manger Scene" toy beside the tree has been her yearly activity since she turned 2. Yes, at 2 she snatched the"Joseph & baby Jesus" from her stepbrother's hand saying, "that's the wrong way! It goes like this inside the manger." After she finished she grinned at everyone. Who could be upset at her snatching after that? It never feels like Christmas until she comes to do the tree with us. I'll post a pic later.

Dec 13, 2016 8:29 PM

I helped my daughter make her Christmas hat last night. Thursday they are having their Christmas Dinner and they can wear their Christmas jumpers and make their own Christmas hats.
Each class has a prize for the best hat in the girls and boys.
She used her Halloween witches hat to make hers and to make sure the hat stayed round and stop the top from falling sideways in half I secured half a clothes hanger inside, then she put a small rimmed straw hat inside firstly to hide the battery pack for the lights then secondly to hold the rim of the witches hat with the bells going round the edge of the witches hat.
She's hoping to win but is sceptical because some of the girls have completely gone all out and made theirs from scratch with papper mashay and all sorts of stuff like that

Dec 14, 2016 10:45 PM

Sezzy that is a cute hat! She should be proud of herself either way. I love the hat!

Dec 14, 2016 11:42 PM

Sezzy.. I love her hat! What a brilliant idea. She is already a winner in my book. :)

Dec 14, 2016 11:51 PM

Thanks everyone she is very proud of her hat and she'll be wearing it today at school.
Today is Christmas dinner at school so they can wear their Christmas jumpers and their Christmas hats and each class picks a winner for a girl and boy.
She's really looking forward to school today
XX πŸŽ„πŸŽ€πŸŽπŸŽ‰ XX

Dec 15, 2016 12:47 AM

Fingers crossed for her..

Dec 15, 2016 8:10 AM

Everyone has posted brilliant pictures. I love them all: They're good to make everyone smile!!😍

Dec 15, 2016 2:45 PM

Dec 16, 2016 2:26 AM

Everyone else is so fancy.
Can't wait till Christmas. All that seafood and swimming :)

Dec 16, 2016 10:35 AM

MKnight, our tree still isn't decorated and all our ornaments are up in the Attic still lol! I've been so busy and sick that I have not felt like decorating, not to mention the event coming up tomorrow that I have to be thier for, and gotta be at the school to decorate for today, your tree is absolutely adorable! Swimming and seafood sounds awesome! It's 32 degrees right now and we've got a chance of snow Saturday night according to my weather app. Enjoy your tree and the sunshine and seafood. Make's me wish I was in Florida at the moment. ... Sorry wandering thought LOL!

Dec 16, 2016 11:12 AM

This is supposed to be my weather sat night. Kinda excited and kinda dreading it if we get it. I'm already dreading the colder weather, but if it's going be here it mine as well have snow to make it feel more like Christmas.

Dec 16, 2016 3:35 PM

Beautiful. Ours is no where near this!!

Dec 16, 2016 3:36 PM

I don't see anymore pictures πŸ™

Dec 16, 2016 4:13 PM

Hi all, Jo was a little sad today as she didn't win the hat contest but she was still happy with her hat and wouldn't of changed it.
I think she was more upset by the fact that the girl who won in her class didn't actually make her own hat, the girl had told them that her older sister who is studying design and fashion as well as art made the winning hat!
Jo is very much a literal child so if they were told THEY should make the hat then that's what should happen and the person to win it should of made their own hat.
The only thing she let me do was hold the hat while she decorated it and let me secure half a clothes hanger inside to keep the hat up when it was on her head, other than that I was severely told off if I even switched the lights on!!! 😨😨😨

Dec 16, 2016 4:21 PM

I'm sorry she didn't win. What that girl did doesn't seem fair. I'm glad she likes her hat she did a good job.

Dec 16, 2016 5:29 PM

Tell her your friends think she is a winner.. I tend to agree with her. The contest isn't fair if some of the participants have others make theirs. How can you take pride in winning something you didn't do? And what'd that teaching the kids. :/

Dec 16, 2016 8:03 PM

Here's our little tabletop tree. You can see it's size in comparison to the 2 silver cups...lol It's small in size but still brightens our hearts!

Dec 16, 2016 10:03 PM

Got our tree decorated!πŸŽ…πŸŽ„

Dec 17, 2016 11:33 AM

Just got back from breakfast with Santa, and boy am I sore now I am relaxing in my festive socks and leggings lol!

Dec 18, 2016 5:26 AM

Thanks to Mimikay for the teddy bear Christmas concept!!
Not enough spoons for the big tree this year, but was able to manage 2 plugs.
I bought these vintage🐼bears for triplets arriving in Feb (with 1 was already mine) and they were sitting in a drawer. They really brought a sparce holiday tableau to life, with the little singing Scottie dog we pretend is out old Cairn terrier Roscoe. He sings, "What a Wonderful World" when you shake his paw. Hubby delighted. Doesn't know I found a 5th one of these panda🐼bears for his stocking since he's always stealing mine! πŸ‘ΌHo, ho ho!!πŸŽ…Merry Christmas!!!πŸŽ„πŸŒ
Good SolsticeπŸ•―β˜ƒ, Happy Hanukkah πŸ•Ž, et all!!

Dec 18, 2016 7:32 PM

My little family πŸŽ…πŸŽ„πŸŽβ›„

Dec 19, 2016 12:53 AM

Started to get a little more festive tonight, here's some more of my decorations. This is my end tables in-between the couch and loveseat.

Dec 19, 2016 1:47 AM

My aunt invited us to come to hers for a few days, it's been good to get away and yesterday my cousin brought his 3 kids over. They all decided to help decorate a gingerbread house.....most of the sweets didn't make it on to the gingerbread house tho!!!! πŸ˜‚

Dec 19, 2016 1:51 AM

This is the finished product!
They all had fun doing it then couldn't wait to eat it all!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
