Hi all, my meds for the breakthrough pain don't seem to work anymore (I take Oxycodone 5-10mg up to 4 times a day along with Paracetamol/Codiene 500/15mg) and I've spent the past 6 days in complete agony, plus my Dr had to prescribe sleeping tablets as I wasn't getting any sleep. I've had this pain for 2 years and I just can't cope with it anymore, are there any meds out there that opioid based?????

Have you tried fentanyl? Not sure on spelling. My sister says it the top of the line but it's usually only prescribed for cancer patients.

I was given Fentynal via IV once, which brought the pain down to a 4 and they gave me a script for Fentynal patches but I got a really bad headache and nausea so I had to stop using the patches.

Fentanyl patches worked well for me when I was on them.

Sometimes the pain killers can actually add to pain after a time. Is medical marijuana legal where you are? CBD strain can help with pain and doesn't cause the high.

I use butrans patches and lido patches with good luck. Butrans is schedule III narcotic
