My pain is so bad tonight! I really can't take this anymore. If taken all my pain killers none have worked, I feel like screaming. I just want it to stop I'll do anything, iv not slept properly in days. Anyone have any advice its sciatica the pain shoots right down to my ankle, my foot is cold even though I have a lose sock on and its under a cover. Iv taken oramorph cocodamol and ampatriyline (I can't spell it sorry) and hour and half ago and its not touching it.
Paper doll, I'm sorry you are in such agony. It could be possible that (depending on where you live) with another erratic weather pattern may be the problem. Try a warm bath if you can and then try laying flat on your back with no pillow and see if that decompressed your spine to take the edge off of the sciatica. I know when my back goes out and I have a flare-up of sciatica, sometimes if I lay flat on my bed, it helps a bit but I can only lay down for like 10 minutes. Sitting is rough as well... You could try one of those pillows with the open center (like a donut). And that takes the pressure off of your sacroiliac and therefore helps the pain a bit. I hope you feel better.. Hang in there.
I'm so sorry to hear this.. Atleast there's people on here who know what your feeling or something similar. I can only suggest heat packs, warmth, maybe even try a relax app to help you sleep better. Best of luck darlingxx
Paperdolly, I have suffered sciatica on and off since a bad car wreck in 1993. But in 2011-2012 it got unbearable. That's when my PC doc sent me to a pain clinic. I had ESI nerve blocks from my neck to the S1 joint over two years and its given me a great deal of sciatic relief and all down my spine. I still have occasions where if I'm on my feet or in a car too long, when I go to bed sciatica starts (but much milder). I use voltaren ointment a lot right on the tailbone area. So far I'm 11 months post ESI injections, and doing much better. ESI has not helped my fibromyalgia pain or osteoarthritis. Good luck & God bless you with fining some relief! Praying for you.
