Post seizure pain, help

Feb 18, 2017 11:56 PM

So i havent been officially diagnosed with seizures yet. This Monday i have my tests coming up to determine that. But i have these episodes that look like seizures. And after i am in so much pain. My question is for those who have seizures or nerve or muscle pain what do you suggest to make it better.
I'm in allot of pain because i had a episode last night and now my legs mainly feel like the nerves are prickly with fire like pain. That's the best way i can describe it. I keep kicking around and just in general im in pain and sore and everytime i twitch (because i twitch daily) it hurts worse. So any thing yo suggest would be great. I'm taking Excedrin and its barely helping. Also my 600mg ibuprofen is also barely helping. Its almost like the pain killers stop working at the waist. It dulls ALOT the top half and helps and then maybe 25% helps my legs

I'm dealing with this as well.. mainly having nocturnal seizures. The best thing I can suggest is leg massage, focusing on the hip joint.

LadyJay, I agree, leg massage definitely helps, although I have to be really gentle around my hip joint. I've never tried talking Excedrin for tremors, I feel like the caffeine in it might do more harm than good. I would actually suggest something that is more of a muscle relaxant like Midol, although talking to your doctor about an anti conclusive might be a good idea if they're causing you daily pain, even if they feel you these episodes are not seizures. I also know exactly what you mean about pain meds not working from the waist down, or wherever you really need them. Good luck! I hope you get this sorted out!
