Pretty picture for distraction

Nov 30, 2016 7:25 PM

It was super foggy all day yesterday and into last night. It froze into hoar frost. It looks pretty. Still waiting for snow, we usually have a couple feet of the white stuff by now.

What a beautiful photo gotobef. I've never even seen icicles on trees or snow falling, only in pictures, and we're into our second day of summer here.

As beautiful as that picture is I'd rather not have the cold and snow to match.....here in the south of England that would set panic off and everything comes to a standstill!!!!
Plus did I mention it's soooooo cold??? Lol
I do love your beautiful picture, I would love that senery.....if it wasn't soooooo cold!!!

I'm actually a little freaked out by the fact that we have no snow yet. It's December. Usually it has snowed and melted before Halloween and then snow and stays early November. Not a couple very small dustings that don't stick around.

I miss seeing that. I moved to a warmer climate so this is a thing of the past. Thank you for sharing. :)

Br13 that's a beautiful picture as well, so contrasting with the beautiful ice covered trees.
Now that's somewhere I'd like to visit for a holiday, I'd sit on the beach to watch and listen to the tide coming in and going out for hours. Listening to the sea I've found is very soothing

We don't get much snow, some ice in deep winter. Nice photo.

Gotobef do you normally get a lot of snow at this time of year?
I do have to admit that looking at your beautiful senery is very soothing as well, I do love the peacefulness and quiet of the snow but hate how cold it is xx

We should have a foot or so of snow on the ground by now. We did get another dusting today, not enough to shovel it. Going to have to sweep it, I'd rather shovel. It's maybe a millimeter on the ground now. I find that if it's really cold it doesn't show much. It seems to snow the most when it's warmer than -10 Celsius but below freezing, which should have been November, instead we had a week of +20. I'm hoping that January and February are not too brutal, but I'm sure we'll get the cold eventually. Just hoping it's not-30 or -40 for several weeks.

They say we're suppose to have more snow than usual this winter. It's just now getting cold though. It seems it's warmer than normal. Who knows what's going to happen. What happens, happens.
